Formulaic and boring

| loading

I heard all the excited murmurs and felt the anticipation when everyone started talking about JJ Abrams new project, Fringe.

I was entirely underwhelmed. Knowing it was JJ Abrams I expected a twist ending. Apparently I was not to be let down. Not only was it a twist ending, it was exactly what I predicted it would be. When I started watching the episode I knew what had to happen within the first 5 or 10 minutes.

The dialog wasn't great, the acting was mediocre at best and the only worthwhile chemistry was between Pacey and the crazy old coot of a scientist he calls daddy.

Needless to say, it barely held my attention. It was trying way too hard, and their lead girl has -no- personality to speak of.

Maybe JJ should spend more time trying to finish up all his faded-away-with-no-resolution plotlines in Lost. =/

Believe me when I say I won't be watching the rest of it, don't worry your head about it.

This is a site geared towards reviews. I get to post my opinion too, and quite frankly I don't agree with all of the "omg ttly awsum" posts already here.

its actually a site geared towards watching movies/ tv. but lets forget that little anomaly. for whatever reason viewers have gone up by 4 million this week. anyway, like i said- its a free world

"When I started watching the episode I knew what had to happen within the first 5 or 10 minutes."

Within the first one or two seconds I knew what you were going to say!! AMAZING how I can predict that...without actually having to predicted anything.

If you don't like it I understand - I don't Like True Blood - but your statement is silly and unverifiable!

Its just her opinion!!! She's entitled to it and she's entitled to write about it. I personally really liked this show but i'm not going to go off on her cus she doesnt share my opinion.

UNfortunately I agree with the person who posted this review, it is boring and predictable. When i heard it was suppose to be "this generations xfiles" I wasnt aware it was going to be so similar. But as i am also aware these shows always start out slow boring and predictable in order to establish plot, characters and give you alot of info. So i dont think I personaly will be able to flat out decide I dont like it for a couple more episodes, I didnt like a lot of shows for the first half of the seasons but once the characters and everything were established and they could move on to other things i got into them, so i think we should try and give it a few more eps before we decide its crap.

I have to agree with this. I'm not really watching it because I enjoy it, I'm watching to see if the show lives up to all the hype. Think I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it goes anywhere.

Nothing can outshine Lost in my opinion :)

this show makes mad science seem glamorous and cool. i love it! the actor playing the fbi agent is a little stiff, she lacks range, but i love her character.

mostly i'm just a sucker for mad science.
