i agree i kinda sucked it should of been better since last season was appalling, i would've been better just by taking aquaman out. and the new writers made all the characters try to hard.
i liked it =D season 8 looks like its gonna be alright
I Love it the last scene with Lois and Clark at the Planet, soooooo cute. I thinks lois is falling for clark lol.
I liked most of it, the chick was kinda of annoying not a real match for Lex, I think the other would be a better fit then her. Aquaman shouldn't of been in there Cyborg would have been better. Ive been reading for weeks prior to the the show last night that the Manhunter went up there with the tiny JLA, but I like where they but him. I think the whole Chloe thing was way to long, it would been funner to see it evolve over the season then have it be spelled out right at the beginning. But I really did like the ending, espically ( I know it misspelled) when Clark called Lois by her last name. I thought that was kinda fun.

I am really looking forward to Lois & Clark falling in love! Thank god Lana is gone. And I think Tom Welling did some exercise ofter the break, Because he looked so gorgeous in the first scenes. Wet T-Shirt, wet hair.... I miss Lex though, he was always funny.

Good episode to present all characters and give us a glance at what may happen in the future. My favourite scene is the fight between Clark and Oliver, including the background music!
I absolutely loved it. As an avid Smallville fan from the beginning, I thought the premier was great. It made me giddy at ever scene.

Are you insane? The season premier was amazing. Show some loyalty. Plus they cant end the show without Clark and Lois getting together. We have to see how they transition from this to what is told in the movies.

It was awesome. They worked well with what they were given, ESPECIALLY after having their two main characters leave the show. It was awesome, I'm excited and especially looking forward to where the show is headed.
Wow... I can't believe some of you actually liked the premiere... The dialogues sucked, the screenplay sucked, some of the acting could have been better... And worst of all the main cast had been almost completely revamped... No Kara, no Lana, no Lex...
IMO there is no Smallville without Clark Kent and Lana Lang, cause when they get to Lois Lane it's basically Superman, and I'm pretty sure we should leave that to the big screen (not that they do any better than these guys -_-")
Wow I am quite disappointed at the launch of the 8 season, they should wrap the series up as quickly and neatly as possible and put it out of it's misery...
Sigh... what a waste of a completely awesome and potent story, great example of television gone completely and terribly wrong

I thought the season started out great... I was a little worried with two cast members out of the picture but I think they have awesome ideas for this season.
Hoping though this is not that last season.
Can not wait to see the next EP.
I don' know about other people, but I rather liked the premiere. At least the story does seem to begin to close the "loop", and move Clark forward, to being Superman. As far as not having Jor-el to guide him, good riddance!
Hold it! Wait just a damned minute!! If one will count, there are 3 times that Clark was supposed to be killed! Once, is valid, twice may be OK, if they do it right, but NOT 3 times!!!!! That is a bloody cheat!!!! C'mon, new producers, give us some honest stories!!!
this is just me but im thinking the whole showing brainiac scared of cloie then her losing her powers...and becomeing a living super computer...hmm where have i seen that before? Brainiac is a living super compute too...right? so this is just an idea here but maybe cloe will be a back up for brainiac...just a thought though
Pretty tight, Lex is sorely missed but I liked his replacement she seems pretty convincing, Oliver Queen is a likeable green arrow and a very capable actor. Im so glad Lana is outta the picture the whole Lana Clark/ Lex dynamic went on way to long. Author Curry as Aquaman fit in well I loved how he crashed through the bottom of the ice in the artic and for people who say aquaman shouldnt have been there why not?? i mean come on it started in the artic and underneath all that ice is the sea! I thought his entrance was really cool, I do agree I was wondering where Bart Allen and Victor Stone (cyborg) were... Anyway season 8 looks pretty cool it's gotta be better then season 7 I was very disapointed in most of season 7 because season 6 was SO good with Clark chasing down all the phantom zone escapee's that was a really cool idea for a season! I hope season 8 is filled with fun action packed episodes where clark and the rest of the JL have lots of challenges like in season 6......... Cya all :)
Hmmm...I've been a fan for many years. I especially enjoyed the cinematography and I like the new look as they shot on Panavision's Genesis camera this season instead of Film - it looks great. All the cast look fab, Tom does look like he lost some of the bulk from last season, now fab & lean, but what happened to his acting chops?? He just didn't seem to be present in the scenes and a pretty stiff, hopefully he'll warm up after a couple episodes and give us something wonderful. I did miss Michael Rossenbaum - what a great actor, but I'm sure he'll be back pretty soon. I have to agree with DosSin that the writers did give the Chloe plot away far too easily. I think this whole episode could have worked better as a two parter season opener and taken the time to explore the story and ideas in more depth, the ideas were great, but unfortunately not given enough space to breathe real life into them, over all I thought it was too rushed. I like how they brought back a couple of the other comic book characters, I like Oliver is cool and sexy as always and I like his relationship with Clark and Aquaman is cute, but I would have prefered to see The Flash instead of Aquaman as he had built a more complex relationship with Clark thoughout a couple of previous episodes and there would have been more to work with.
Overall I enjoyed the episode, probably because I've been waiting sooooo long for this season. Love the grayish Russian town rain scene - looks amazing.
I like the ideas that they are setting up, but I think it feel short of expectations and could have been done better with a tweak here and there.

i think that clark looks really good when hes wet...and obviously form the first 2 episodes of smallville...lois and clark r into eachother...but in the older movies and comics, they have lois who loves superman and super man is clark kent and clark kent loves lois lane..... :p
