A new job EVERY time he gets to the main story. Seriously??
Every time Michael gets a step closer to finding out ANYTHING about who burned him or the events that are leading into the big conspiracy, Michael is approached without fail by a random filler character that needs help.
This would be fine if it only happened every few episodes but it just seems forced when every episode is mainly about the filler and 2 minutes main story at the end. I love this show but i am quickly getting tired of the way it's being presented.

Actually what you call the "filler" character is really the main case of each episode and the reason for the series. That's the way the show is designed. If you watch primarily to find out what progress Michael is making on finding who burned him then you're missing the point of the show and will be disappointed. Yes we all want to find out who burned him but I primarily watch to see the main case and then a little nugget in the search.
What I don't get (and maybe I missed something) is how Michael supports himself. When he was burned all his accounts were drained and credit dried up. He rarely takes any money for the people he "helps" on his cases or if he does it's very little. So what's his source of income? He has a heavy yogurt habit to support!
i agree, even though it would be nice to find out who is behind all of this it is interesting to see how he deals with all the different cases he is dealt! there always clever plans! I also enjoy watching Michael deal with the different moral issues that arise through out the the show, because it shows what king of man he is and how he is slowly changing.
what i want to find out more of is his past and how that affects him. I want to see the jobs he did in the past.
As for his funds i think there primarily from his clients. I know its not much but his rent is only $200 and i dont think the yogurt costs that much.lol
Like i said though, I don't mind that he is doing the jobs but it's just not realistic that every time he is about to make a move, someone guilts him into a job. When the show comes back am i supposed to believe that while his brother is being booked and his apartment just blew up, he will somehow still be guilted into helping someone do something completely off track? Crap no. A person sets everything aside and finishes the task at hand......Otherwise your brain starts bleeding like the guy on prison break.
Well, if your reference to "prison break" is a reference to the show, I think the idea is great but the show should not have been longer than a mini series - more than one season is ridiculous!
But I think you are being too literal - it's a television series, for god's sake! Give it some slack...it doesn't have to be perfect...but some semblance of reality would be nice. Still...I LOVE the show!
BTW - I'd LOVE to find a nice place for $200 a month!
so roboticeye Then if you are tired of it don't watch it any more. I agree with passnthroo, the story is about a guy who helps others while he is trying to figure out what is behind the demise of his job. He has to make a living somehow. The apartment is an old warehouse btw and it is not so nice that is why it is so cheap. He is also becoming more human as each case comes about. He is actually getting to know his family and friends on a different level. Whiel working as a spy he had to deny his feelings all this time.
He wants to do the jobs...........he needs money to live.
