ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY BELIEVE IN GOD DON'T BELIEVE IN SATAN OR THE THIRD OF THE HOST OF HEAVEN THAT FOLLOWED HIM. I THINK IT'S EQUALLY STRANGE THAT DEAN HAS SEEN DEMONS AND BEEN TO HELL, BUT DOESN'T BELIEVE IN GOD OR HEAVEN OR ANGELS.

Yes, in a way. But Dean reasons that since he HAS seen demons and they aren't something he has to believe in, they are real. He has never SEEN god or angels up until now, so they've remained tales and legends - as well as a few other things in Supernatural: fairies, unicorns, dragons, sasquatch, nessie, etc. DW doesn't believe in anything, really. He KNOWS things. So it's not very strange that he doesn't believe in something he hasn't seen - after all, he feels he's seen it all.

Also, Dean feels that God/angels would cancel out demons. Since he knows that's no the case, he finds it very hard to believe in anything good. He can't imagine that some good, omnipotent force would allow Hell to exist - therefore, there is no god but pagan, violent ones.

    Dean's a very literal person.

It's very interesting that now his entire aspect will have to evolve to include Castiel and co.

But I doubt unicorns will be introduced into Supernatural. Such a ridiculous invention would put the show in smallville's league.

    : )

I don't think he doesen't believe in God, no. I think he tries to convince himself that God doesn't exist.

Deep inside it's obvious for him. But as he sees all the bad things he has to fight everyday, he hopes that there is no God because it would be sadistic of him to let all the people suffer.

He doesn't know the reason why God let this happen... like most of people. and I'm on the top of the list.

I agree with Thom above. Dean doesn't have "faith" in things he hasn't experienced or that which there is no proof of. Actually, the only thing Dean has faith in, is Sammy... and I have a feeling that the brothers Winchester will battle against each other as the opposing mascots of good and evil.
