"Finding Freebo"

so much suspension at the end

I was freaking out inside my brain

I give it two thumbs way up

I hope everyone agrees

& I hope this season keeps with this trend

what do you think dexter with decide about the child?

leave Rita, or at least not be part of the child's life

or become a father?

The latter would certainly be twisted.

He is in the books. And the kids, in the books, are budding psycho's too, so he sees it as his duty to teach them how not to get caught too.

not quite fair the way Rita played the situation in my opinion, she just played the ball in Dexters field, knowing he will be feeling responsible for the kid anyhow

never understood why people have sex without condoms or any other protection when they dont want children, but thats another story...

the ending was fantastic, seems like dexters little adventures getting closer and closer to him, wondering how long he is able to hide, interesting job for the writers

I think he'll choose to be a part of the child's life. It's clear that's his intentions through the inner dialogue he frequently shares with us. It will definitely be twisted, but hey, what's not twisted in regards to Dexter Morgan? :)

Oh, by the way, loved the episode. I was biting my nails the whole way through. And to have another person know that Dexter has killed a person (Lila in last season), this season is gonna rock!

That's in the book plotline, but I don't know how close to the book this will be. In the books Rita has had an incredibly abusive relationship that has turned her off sex so her and Dexters relationship is platonic but loving (if you know what I mean) so she's a perfect cover for him. The two children have been terribly damaged by their blood father and are themselves budding psychos. Dexter recognises this and decides to use his personal take on their situation to help guide them in his own unique way.

The books are excellent, but slightly more subtle than the series. There's certainly not as much sex! Dexter and Rita have a non-sexual relationship in the books, which he prefers as he doesn't feel anything for anyone. But he likes the kids and doesn't want harm to come to them.

I haven't read one where he gets Rita pregnant as they dont have sex, but Debs does find out and know about him in the books.

I thought the episode was great. although in previous episodes i was led to believe that because he seen his mother get murdered he became a killer. so wouldn't that make it safe to say that it is not genetic because it he is a product of environmental circumstances???

..although i could be completly off
