Oh come on now!

I've seen a lot of horror films and that means I've also seen a lot of crazy, crappy explanations of why people mutate to zombies.

Now, one might think: There have been sooo many people inventing soooo many diseases and devices and mystical forces that can make the dead walk, so when someone wants to create his own, he couldn't possibly do anything wrong. All he'd have to do would be to follow the lead of those other people, i.e.: Bad multinational company wants bio weapon or aliens trying to invade earth by raising the dead or bad deamon out on revenge mission etc. etc.

Well - you've been wrong and so have I.

This film proves that there are still people who haven't learned from the past...

I mean: come on! Those stupid apes are infected with "rage"? What kind of brain-bustingly uninventive explanation is that? They could at the very least have given it a fancy name, but "rage"???

No - I'm sorry, but that's just too stupid for me.

And then the story! So, this guy awakes in a deserted hospital, eh? Well we have neeeeeeever seen that in a movie or game ever before, now have we? And then he and this gal wander about infected London, and are casually attacked by the Zombies 'til they find those other weak survivors. Oh what a story! I'm so impressed! As inventive as a pile of old potatoes!

So, in the end, they get to the "we find hope, but it turns out to be just raping soldiers" part, immediately followed by the "shortly before sure death the formerly weak now strong guy escapes and kills all the bad guys" part. And in between there is or course the "important emotional person dies because he's infected" part.

Wow! Just amazing!
