Please, Kill Claire Bennett

After 2 seasons, Claire still hasn't grown as a character (or as an actor). She is still the same young, whiny, incompetent adolescent, because life is hard living in white suburbia with a good body and the awesome ability not to die. Go cut yourself...deeper.

I bet her father hates her. I think he is purposefully trying to drive Claire to suicide. He is back with the company whom she hates, teamed up with the man who mind molested her, and still treats her like immature child because...well, she is. If he keeps pushing it, maybe she'll finally do it right. If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

Of course, they give the weakest character in the whole show the ability not to die. But please, find a way to make her die. She is killing heroes, and it would give Noah Bennett a better motive to do what he does.

Kill the cheerleader, save the show

    LOL!..true!!

I like Hayden..but this character Claire is so irritating!..Whats wrong with her...Her character has actually not grown at all. Sometimes she is happy to have her powers sometimes she is all whiney about it..I mean gosh!! get over it girl!!! I get nausea when she starts complainin in her oh so crackling voice..her dialoge delivery is same all the time, plus she even repeats her dialoge God so many times!!

completely agree. if you think about it, she's got it made. she can't die, and she's got all her family back together. hearing her moan about sylar attacking her even though she's pefectly fine was just annoying, especially when you consider the problems everyone else has got. and yeah, she's a pretty bad actress, but not as bad as the guy who plays peter petrelli, possibly the worst actor to ever appear on television. or maybe it's just the scripts he's given, the dialogue on this show is pretty awful.

    still liking season 3 though.

Heroes is not the best show on, but it's pretty good. That doesn't make up for the fact that girl playing Claire is god awful. In fact it hurts the show. And yeah, the guy playing peter is pretty bad too.

Yes tommiej, she is hot. She's perfect for Disney channel America, and needs to be stopped

So yeah, petition to get that annoying character off the air

Claire is, in my opinion, only one of the many problems of the third season. I still don't understand Mohinder's personality transplant and the fact that the show should be renamed into "Petrellis".

Ouch. If ya'll hate the characters and actors of this show so much, why do you continue watching it??? Just wondering...

Hayden is doing a wonderful job playing a middle-class teenager, whose parents don't want her to do anything, well mostly HRG. She's different...yea...remember adolescence? It sucked...now imagine being like that will an ability like that, one you aren't suppose to share with anyone. I imagine it's a hard life. Money, race and 'suburbia' doesn't mean she should be giggly while shitting rainbows and farting fairy dust. Get real.

And future Claire...she is gonna kick ass. She just has to grow into her independence and climb out of daddy's ass.

As for Peter, have you compared his character in the past and present? He can act. Milo is playing the character as Kring wants him to be played, that's usually how this stuff works. If he wasn't, he would have been replaced long ago.

Don't judge actors based on the characters they play. Remember that they aren't the ones who created the characters you don't like. And have you ever thought...maybe you're suppose to hate them...??

Adolescence was covered in the first season. She needs to be growing into something new now. If she is, I can't see it because she's still being played with the same mentality as before.

Future Claire is just hilarious. I can't buy her "badass" look for a second. You're right, she has to grow into independence, which she almost had at the end of season one....then she got a car? i don't know or something.

They aren't the ones who created their characters, but they are theirs to own and mold. Yes, we are supposed to hate some characters and if the actor does it right, we will hate them for the right reasons, like being so good that you do hate them. Not for sucking.

and i watch because I'm a super hero nut kinda. and i'm curious

i completely agree, but they'll never get rid of her because she is eye candy as simple as that

  10. canuck1984Send a Compliment - 14:06 PDT, 14 October, 2008

Claire's alright. Yeah, she's a little mopey and doesn't pull off the 'badass' role overly well... but at least the show isn't quite as Claire-centric as the first season was.

Peter's character has evolved a fair bit since the beginning. In my opinion, the guy did an amazing job playing Peter as a naive man-child in season 1.... it's the voice that ruins it for me when he's acting as 'badass' Peter, currently. His body language is great, but that voice... it's like Bale's Batman voice in The Dark Knight. It sounds like he constantly needs to take a dump! Not sure whether the director Ok's it, demands it, or tolerates it... but it needs to go. His voice sounds forced and it's ruining the character. I really think they should steer clear of the 'Neo-look' as well... more often than not, Peter looks like he's trying to look like a character from The Matrix.

This religious stuff with Nathan... has got to stop or at least lead to something. The guy found religion... cool, we get it. We don't need to see him praising God or preaching at the beginning or end of every scene that he's in. Maybe the guy is an angel or something? Sounds implausible, yes, but so is the idea of superpowered people in general. They need to do something with it or make the guy a little less focused on it.

The Haitian needs to die. He barely says a word; basically only used to conventiently strip people of their powers... rendering them defenseless against whoever the Haitian happens to be working for/with in any particular episode. How bout less nullification, more super-powered people kicking the living crap out of each other?

I'd really love to see some supercharged battles in this show. I mean a full 5-8 minutes of two heroes trying to nuke each other!

Claire's Mom Vs. Tracy would be amazing!

In spite of my bitching, I really do enjoy the show and I hope it stays on for the next few years at the very least.

It's kind've like Lost in the sense that it feeds you tons of questions, but very few answers. Hopefully, like the writers of Lost seem to be trying to do, the writers of Heroes will start wrapping up some loose ends and addressing questions that are more implied than asked directly.

I couldn't agree more with the main topic .. I just watched the last episode and again, Claire gets into trouble, the father has to recue her and saying I do this to protect my family and then she ends up saying I am sorry and everything is in peace for a while .. then again she wants to do smth and ends up in some kind of trouble and then she yells Dad!!!!.. but she never listens!! just let her die! I am getting tired with her character..

And, yes, she should stop saying that Sylar did "something" to her.. she is not dead, so what is she crying about?! And after that, there is no point on following her, nobody is after her and she does not have a powerful power, so, whats the point of her existence?!

  12. americanvandalSend a Compliment - 21:21 PDT, 14 October, 2008

i would be glad that i couldnt feel pain when those horrible injuries were inflicted on me. Anyone who gets upset when they cant feel their arms breaking has some serious mental issues.

also, isnt she supposed to be 17 or 18? shes been truant for a good part of the season thus far, i dont know how much longer she can pull that off.

as for eye candy, im over Claire, Maya is pretty damn hot when that mouth of hers isnt open. mad props to spider Suresh for tappin that ass.

  13. CytemSend a Compliment - 21:51 PDT, 14 October, 2008

    Suresh is a true pimp.

The actress is she really is her character's age, so i have a hard time believing she's acting and making real character choices. Maybe she's just playing herself, except way more whining and can heal super fast.

Is there a way a list can be made petitioning that claire die off or go to college or something? anywhere not on that show.

  14. StayinnocentSend a Compliment - 16:50 PDT, 16 October, 2008

    She's going evil!!!

Gawd, viewers what more do you want.

I think that this season should advance Claire as a character.

And would you really want to kill off the only teenage character in the show?

You will kill a huge chunk of your demographic and we will lose heroes forever.

Kill the cheerleader and the show goes under.

  15. CytemSend a Compliment - 22:21 PDT, 16 October, 2008

If Claire is representing this generation, then that is a demographic I'm happy to see go away. You're making it out that Claire is the backbone of the show. If that's the case, then let Heroes go under.

You're right, she should advance as a character and I can see the writers are trying to make that happen, but it's just not working.
