20Q.net is putting its artificial intelligence (A.I.) into warp speed to bring players 20Q STAR TREK, the latest version of the hugely popular game that can "read your mind." By choosing a person, place or thing from the Star Trek Universe, you use your wits to keep the system from figuring out your answer in twenty questions or less. If the system can't figure it out, you win! But first, the game needs to bone up on Star Trek trivia to be a worthy opponent.

20Q needs your help to assist the game in "learning" the world of STAR TREK, and all you have to do to contribute is play! With each play of the game, the system gets "smarter" and more challenging. By simply testing your STAR TREK knowledge, you can help bring the game to life as a real 20Q home game!

Think you can stump the system and win big? Play 20Q STAR TREK now!

20Q: Star Trek

To be officially entered, comment on this post letting us know whether you stumped the game or not, and which Star Trek term you chose while playing. Remember, try your best to be creative with your choices!

Sorry, but U.S. and Canada entrants only can be selected as the winner. The winner will be selected and notified via e-mail Tuesday, November 11th.

I played 20Q star trek and I used the term Finoplak (clear liquid that can dissolve fabric) it did not get it and it didn't have it in its definition library.

I played 20Q and I used the term Exocomps. It didn't get it under 20Q, but to be fair when it asked whether it would feel out of place on Earth, I chose 'maybe' where other players chose 'no'. (I also forgot they emit light).

i used the word Jamaharon. It didn't get it, mainly because most people said that it couldn't cause harm, and it really all depends on who you do it with!

I played and stumped it, I used Lieutenant Commander Dexter Remmick, from the TNG episode Conspiracy. I was completely missing from the library. Considering he was a involved in several episodes and concluded the very first season of TNG I feel he is an important character.

So I played twice --- the first time it got it right, when I did Tom Paris, and the second time I stumped it, when I did Rain Robinson.

I stumped it with Aldeberan Whiskey, though it claimed that it got different answers from other players than I gave it.

tried it again with Robert April. Same result. The trouble is that many questions are opinions rather than fact, so it's tough to pin down. . .

Chose San Fransisco, Earth (the past) and The whales from the same movie. Stumped with both based on variety of responses from other players. Eventually guessed it though. Then used replicator, and the game got it fairly quickly.

I stumped Star Trek 20Q with Quark's cousin Gala...you know, the one with the moon. He wasn't even in the data base yet he was in more than one episode and mentioned by Quark several times.

I also tried Morn and it's data base answers were all wrong. Morn was close to his family because in one episode he caught up someone on his several brothers and sisters. He is also athletic because in Who Mourns for Morn, Worf says that Morn was his sparring partner. the contradictions are many, but the A.I. is still young.

I look forward to this coming out. It would make a great gift. I hope this is sufficient to enter me into the giveaway.

I played and it took 24 guesses to get Tom Riker. It asked if it made contributions to exploring space and I said yes thinking of his time in the Delta quadrant, but apparently it thinks it should have been no.

I think this game rock, I gussed Tribbel and the game guessed it in just under 20Q, I think this game will be hard to perfect because there are so many Trek things. It's a different world. This game is gonna be kick a** when it;s done though. I hope I'm in the contest.

I used Andorians and it didn't get it, because it said that they should be friendly and I feel that in Enterprise Shran and his people were far from friendly.

    Energy whip also stumped it.

  33. tvqueen tvqueen Send a Compliment - 12:34 PDT, 30 April, 2009

I did not stump it with Erik Pressman (Terry O'Quinn, aka Locke on Lost). What a great program!
