Your eyes haven't been deceiving you. You must have noticed in the last few episodes of 90210 that Jessica Walter (who plays Tabitha, but who we all know and love as Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development) has been criminally underused.
And now...word has come that she will no longer be a series regular, for precisely this reason. As a show insider commented, it was too pricey to "pay her all that money to utter two funny lines an episode." However, though she will no longer be a regular, she will still remain a recurring character.
Additionally, the scene-stealing druggie Adrianna (played by Jessica Lowndes) has just been made a series regular. You may have also heard that Shannon Doherty will be reprising her role of Brenda for at least 2 more episodes.
Finally, earlier this week actor Josh Henderson was tapped to play Harry's long lost son.
But perhaps the biggest question of all is...can they get Luke Perry to change his mind about appearing?

An outrage, I tell you. I'm pretty sure the show runners realized no one cared about the totally awesome hilarious grandma since the drama's all about the kids, so clearly not worth paying her so much. Jessica Walter can do better, I say.
