Paramount Vantage finds lucky '13'

Paramount Vantage will handle international sales on writer-director Gela Babluani's English-language remake of his French thriller "13 Tzameti," the winner of the 2006 Sundance Grand Jury Prize.

Sam Riley, 50 Cent, Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham will star in the story of a man who steals a mysterious package and gets sucked into an underground gambling ring.

The film will be produced by Rick Schwartz of Overnight Productions, Aaron Kaufman of Barbarian Films and Valerio Morabito of the Morabito Picture Company. It starts shooting in November in New York City.
