Briefs: Extras needed Monday for scene in 'Sorority Row'

| loading

Extras 14 and older are needed for a graduation day scene to be shot Monday for the film "Sorority Row."

The shoot takes place at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland; extras should be on set no later than 8:30 a.m. They can park at Mellon Arena, Uptown, where a shuttle will take them to the set. Signs at the arena will direct participants to the appropriate lot. The unpaid parts require about six hours' work. Shooting is expected to end around 2 p.m.

In lieu of payment, all "free" extras will be eligible for prizes that will include a Caribbean trip, electronics (such as iPods and iPhones), high-end gift cards and tickets to sporting events, but must be checked in by 8:30 a.m. The prize drawing will take place after the scene has finished shooting. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
