One of the Greatest Talents Ever!
Henry Ian Cusick has been acting for some time now, beginning in his 20s. But it wasn't until he landed the roll of the Scottish Button Pusher on ABC's hit show, "Lost" that he became a household name world-wide. There were a good number of fans that knew of him before he was cast as Desmond Hume but once the world got a look at the poor guy who'd been trapped in the Swan Station for over 3 years, thus cutting him off from his one true love Penelope Widmore, there was no turning back and the numbers grew by the scores.
But it's justified that Cusick has such a huge following. Not only stunningly handsome, the half Peruvian (on his mother's side) and half Scot (on his father's) is one hell of a good actor. He can take on any role from crazed hatch dweller (as he was first seen on "Lost" in Season 2) or secret agent for the Germans as in the role of Theo on "24" in their 5th season). He's even pulled off romantic comedy with a Cary Grant flair (they say only truly gifted dramatic actors can do that and along with Grant, Cusick is gifted in both genres) on Liftetime Movie Network's "Perfect Romance."
Fans can also see him in a direct to DVD release of "Dead Like Me" that is slated for the summer of 2008. Ian will play the head reaper (a roll that was done by Mandy Patinkin for the series). Since the original actor wasn't available, a new role was written just for Cusick. And this Nov. 2007, they'll get a taste of the Badder-Than-Bad when Henry Ian Cusick introduces Udre as a villain in the cinematic release of the video game sensation, "Hitman."
And of course, all fans are anxiously awaiting the Feb. 2008 return of Lost and their favorite Scotsman ... Desmond David Hume!
