Send a Compliment at 11:04 PDT, 27 October, 2008Can Someone Ban 'Ninjavideo.net' Until They Get Their Website Issues Sorted!
| loadingive tried using this site over 10 times. mainly with 'Little Britain USA' but others shows as well. it has never worked. i always get the 'Error 404' and 'Download Error' message. this was usually fine as i just clicked below the video on the link 2 supernova tube which was fine and solved the problem. however, with the latest episode of 'Little Britain USA' they no longer post the supernova link.
i definitely have the latest version of Divx Web Player installed and have NinjaVideo Helper Beta open.
the worst thing is when u click on the link 2 report 2 links- the admin. they just tell u 2 f*ck off repeatedly and ull get banned from the site if the dead link has been reported already. it tells u that the site is under HEAVY construction. u have 2 trawl through piles of messages that 4 some reason loads really slowly 2 check if ure dead link has been reported.
BRING SUPERNOVA LINKS BACK OR DONT MAKE THE SITE LIVE UNTIL ITS FULLY CONSTRUCTED
neone else had problems with ninjavideo?

Usually only the new videos on ninjavideo wont work but all the old ones will still work, it will only be temporarily until the site gets a larger server
you can get Little Britain USA by going to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and have you used the ninja video helper thing because it don't work without it.
you can view videos on ninjavideo.net by installing the ninjavideo applet ... as far as i know its safe and you only need it as long as you are watching the video as it works fine for me.
i just shut the applet down when i have finished watching or downloading the vids.

i dont like downloading software to watch videos, and any site that "demands" you download software to me is very shady as we dont know what that software is doing and each time i did install it my security system ID's the software asa trojin / worm so i havent used that site since.
plus dan does have a point, its not just the latest videos but a lot of the older ones and he is right about reporting a dead link to the ninjavideo you do get a reply to f*** off.
for a website to tell you that for reporting a dead link is like the admins here telling ppl to go take a flying F for logging in
( no offence to the admin staff here they are really cool and laid back mellow ppl )
i dont like ninjavideo as theres just way to much to do just to watch a tv show or movie, megavideo now has limits on how long ppl can watch and supernova has all but stopped divx movies but i still prefer to watch supernova as there at least you dont install untrusted software.
now are you sure you turned on the "help" file thing at the top of the page, not many people do which is probably why the admins are so annoyed at the messages. without it the video's won't play.
First off, ninjavideo does not install anything on your computer, it runs a javaApplet, which is only there while you have the window open.
Umm. just realized that this is an old dead thread. Oh well.
Either way, I think they are great - divx quality's way better that flash and not too annoying with the ads.
Last couple of days though, there's been some issues. Can't get any of divx to play - unable to connect to server. Anyone else having those issues?
a new helper has been released. close the old one and launch the new one. Then wait until the video starts or starts buffering, it says on top that it might take up to one minute and it does.
But for me things work a lot better now than before...
