Review
As much as I love anything that incorporates Crime with Sci-Fi, (although, strictly speaking, it's not really Sci-fi), and how I love Rufus Sewell, a true British star, Fringe outshines Eleventh Hour by a million volts! The characters are deeper and more intriguing in Fringe, whereas Eleventh Hour feels one dimensional and very "this happens, so this can happen, then this happens, this happens, ta-da!". I watched the first episode and it fell flat on its face. There was just no mystery to it, no tension! And that is definitely a let down with someone like Rufus Sewell whose mysterious aura and air of quiet reserve is not taken advantage of at all in Eleventh Hour.

I completely agree with you! I tried out eleventh hour thinking that Rufus in this type of role would be interesting. I was highly disappointed by the first episode. I guess I'l keep watching because I'm bored. Fringe on the other hand, WOW.
You people are mad!
Fringe is really good, I was well disappointed that it didn't air last week. I was surprised to see Rufus Sewell doing TV to begin with. Jesus, and what's with the American accent? Please, Rufus darling, you're English through and through! :P
You know I am sick, and tired of everybody drawing an analogy between eleventh hour and fringe, they aren't even the same kind of show, Fringe deals with just what its name states Fringe science, Eleventh Hour deals with mysteries surrounding hard science, get a clue. They are both very good shows. in my opinion so far EH is more analogous to house than Fringe.
Eleventh Hour outshines Fringe by far imo. It deals with real, present day science being used for the wrong purpose and the way a scientist deals with that which is in a logical progression of facts, if we have A then we can B and that could lead to C and then D. That is science, very rarely mysterious or full of tension. Don't get me wrong, I do watch Fringe and it does have its own appeal but its science FICTION not science the two shows do'nt deal with the same subject.
