With the return of Futurama this Sunday, I thought that I would post this article that appeared in Wired awhile back.

Futurama - The Geekiest Show on TV

I have to admit that I never got into Futurama, but when I read this article I was really impressed with the brainpower behind it.

Apparently the writing team of this program collectively possesses a masters in theoretical computer science and PhDs in applied math, chemistry, philosophy, and computer science.

Basically, they're really really smart...and they fill out the show with obscure references that will impress even the geekiest of the geeks.
