What happened to the great appearance of the 1st season?

The first season was a total smash hit. But whatever happened to the second one? Its all funny and ironic but without the dark and sad plot of the first! I miss Holt and Julia.The Story's DirtNOW brings aren't nearly as good as they were in the first 13 Episodes.I hope they make it up to season 3 , so they can prove its still a good show. I probably wait until the 3rd season comes out ,cause I'm some kinda of the hook since 2 episodes...sad, buts thats how it is, well, to me!
