This is the kind of series that's essentially made for someone like me - a massive history buff. Like Rome before it, HBO has done a tremendous job of capturing a moment in time in a way that a film simply can't.

I'd recommend it for anyone who's interested in a semi-accurate interpretation of US history and, in particular, for seeing this time period come to life.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finale, although I have some idea of how it ends...
