Jenny, Juno?

| loading

I was just wondering if anyone has seen the original version? It's called Jenny, Juno. I think it's Korean... I thought the Korean version was much sweeter in a cutesy fantasy way. Juno was more realistic.. but honestly, Juno annoyed me.. She seemed just like every other off-beat yet totally cool teenage girl today. I get that she was supposed to be cool and unique.. but I've seen so many girls just like her. Anywho I was just wondering which one you all prefer.. the American version or the Korean version?

I actually think that was the writer's whole intent. It makes no sense for her not be that way. There would be a disconnect with the viewers, and the movie would come off looking rather fake.

What makes her cool is the way she goes about it. Many girls crack under the pressure. I tend to be very open minded, so as a guy, I heard talk of what some of the girls that go through that really go through. It's a complete stop in your normal life, especially if you keep the kid.

And beyond that, there is a lot of social ridulce.. both from parents and peers. As if carrying a baby and being sick wasn't enough, you now have to put up with people telling you how dumb you are, and that your a scank etc.

Despite all this, Juno keeps her chin up, and keeps a level head. She makes some mistakes, but when it comes time to make decsions, she's brave enough to stick up for the right ones.
