I love that they make Allison and her husband's relationship real. Also, she is a real woman body wise and not Hollywood thin. Her homelife and the way she doesnt always get it right on the money seems really realistic.
I am glad it came back for another season.

Me too..i agree with you...A great show that isn't fake...it's closer to real life. Not some bimbo with special powers like buffy or charmed.
While for the most part I had mixed feelings about the show, I always thought their relationship was realistic and really quite lovely and the show itself is growing on me. However, I completely have to disagree with dizziedevils about Buffy. Buffy was a bit of a ditz at times but for the most part she was an incredibly powerful and inspired woman. She was supposed to be in high school; the show started with her at the age of sixteen and she grew remarkably from then on. The character Allison is certainly more composed and focuses on more important things in her life, without question. However, we haven't had a chance to see Buffy at forty with a bunch of kids. And PUH-LEASE... Comparing Buffy to Charmed is a cardinal sin. Read the Buffy scripts. There's some incredibly intelligent writing in there and I think you'll find you were gravely mistaken. Haha, gravely- dead people... Puns are fun.
Miaj's comments are exactly what i think. The loving relationship between Allison and Joe has a big influence on Allison's psychic performance. He's so supportive, he understands her and goes along with all the things Allison feels. They're a great family but not a fake one, they look so close.
The fact that Allison is not the typical skinny actress also gives a good sense. It looks even more realistic to use a person with that kind of body built, because that's the real world.
I think this is one of the best drama tv shows ever made. I hope they don't screw up the end.
