Khandi Alexander Leaving CSI: Miami
Khandi Alexander - who plays medical examiner Alexx Woods on CSI: Miami (and has been on the show since the beginning) will be departing the program at the end of the season.
It is unknown exactly why she is leaving (just that she is said to have had issues with some aspects of the show) or how her character will be departing.
The show wants to replace her character with a male medical examiner.

I loved the way Khandi (Woods) spoke to the bodies and made an effort to show that she cared about them. It was respectful. I think she is a beautiful lady and I hope her career goes from strength to strength in the future.
Wow I can't believe it. I loved the way that Khandi was respectful to the departed. That is classy. As a medical person myself it is a refreshing change for a television program. I wish her all the best in her new endeavors and it won't be the same without her euphamisms, quick wips and comebacks. Khandi (the character as well) will be missed by one of her biggest fans.
