*EPISODE SPECIFIC SPOILERS*
The clinic is seen in slow motion, maybe to highlight the monotonous surroundings, maybe to bring focus to the average but creepy man who's sitting in solemn observation. As time returns to normal, Foreman talks to Thirteen about a new clinical trial for those afflicted with Huntington's. She declines the offer and tells him she's not interested in doing anything to impede the disease's progression. I assumed all that casual sex with strangers and rampant drug use was about experiencing as much pleasure as possible before she dies. But her absolute refusal to do anything proactive makes it seem like the girl is eager to accelerate the whole death thing.
Creepy glum guy from the waiting room wanders into Cuddy's office, where House is snooping, and asks to see her....more House

Didn't like this one. Too slow, too unbelievable. A bit boring really. Very formulaic for these kind of situational episodes.
Great review! I really enjoyed this episode, though I did expect it to be even more dramatic. Apparently House has our expectations really up there when I can say a guy holding up the hospital, shooting people, and making Thirteen take drugs until she almost dies isn't dramatic enough, but I guess that says a lot for the show.
It was suspenseful, but a bit predictable that it would end with Thirteen realizing she does want to live, but it was a needed push for her character to keep her interesting and growing. I am looking forward to more House-Cuddy development, and while it's a little frustrating to have episodes like this where House is in a life-threatening situation, and then they don't run to each other to kiss, but House pops a vicodin instead (fine, hilarious), I think it's all advancing at a good enough pace for them and hopefully it will become more along the line.
I enjoyed this episode, but at the risk of sounding like a mushy guy i have to say that the house/cuddy thing is what I was really wanting to advance. I didn't care who got shot or what got blown up as long as their scene was coming.
in other words, it wasn't up to par so huddy was the most interesting thing it showed!
not once did house mention that he had already been shot. that really could have come up you know. also, i love his last prank, it was almost reassuring her that nothings changed (pigtails and ink wells), not to mention he had that set up from the beginning (why 13 couldn't check the desk for a match). all in all not a bad show. house is an ass though, give a guy a gun back. but also, the cop was a prick, he kept on assuming that cuddy had a boyfriend inside, what the hell, shes the administrator of the whole frikin hospital, of course shes freaked, of course she has a conflict of interest. not really cop behavior i guess is what im saying. oh an the hostages . . . what the hell? to all out there, if you are ever taken hostage, house's attitude is best, know your life has become an object to be used by the hostage taker, you only open your mouth in helpful to the hostage taker, no pleading, no chastising, no questioning. well, at any rate, nothing like a near death experience to get you on the track to living, go 13.
yeah well wat did y'all except? the old story about hostage situation? I think got kicked out the door the moment House was counted among the hostages. the cop was definitely bad and the whole thing ridiculous (house's team acting like its all a prank or something for example) but it got the point across to 13 reght? definetely disapointed about Huddy not being too much advanced.
