F.R.I.E.N.D.S: A Classic! One of the Best in the World
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is just one of those TV shows that you just cannot stop watching. It is just so addictive. I have been one of the greatest fans of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. since my Fourth Grade. In my opinion, Friends probably is the greatest TV show ever. The story is mainly about the lives of 6 friends, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Joey and Chandler who live crazy lives in New York City. The show started airing in 1994 and since then, there has been no looking back for FRIENDS.
Let me give you a short character sketch of all the characters involved. Monica and Ross are brothers and sisters. Ross is a professor at a University, and Monica is a cook at a local restaurant. Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) is a waitress at their hangout Perk Café. Joey is an aspiring actor and Chandler works at a Company downtown. The show was an insanely big hit the world over and it spanned 10 seasons.
Well initially, I think the success of the show can be attributed to the opening song, âIâll be there for youâ. The song is so fitting for the theme of the show and has become a favorite in the hearts of most F.R.I.E.N.D.S. viewers around the world.
According to me, the best character is that of Chandler. His one-liners and sarcastic replies are always so enthralling and you just never seem, to get enough of Chandler. He also winds up marrying Monica. The wonderful thing about the show is that you can watch the same episode a hundred times and you will still be laughing your ass off during the hundredth time. That, is not something that we see in every TV showâ¦.is it?
There have been very touching and emotional moments as well. The most touching moment is when Chandler tries to propose to Monica, but her ex-lover shows up and asks her hand in marriage. Chandler thinks that all is lost but only to his surprise that when he gets home, all he sees are candlesticks all around and Monica on her knees, proposing to him. I really cried that time, and that shows the magic and sensation that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. exercises over its viewers.
Ross has developed the image of an accomplished divorcee. After 3 failed marriages, Ross seems to be the butt of all jokes on marriage, especially after his divorce from Carol, a pregnant lesbian. Rachel, whose dad is a millionaire, leaves her family and her fiancée on the altar, and comes to live with her childhood friend, Monica. The story thus moves on and relationships start developing and that, is the crux of the show.
Well folks, if you havenât watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S, well then you have just not been watching enough TV!

Although I think what you wrote is GREAT
Um your intro was kind of weird
In the beginning Ross works at a museum and he only gets a job as a prof after his breakdown (Remember the sandwhich that his colleague ate?)
And the whole teacher thing would be right but then you said that Rachel works at Central Perk which was at the beginning of the series, if you were talking about later on, it would either be Bloomingdales or Ralph Lauren.
Wow squeegee... that is a little bit of an anal reply!
I'm sorry but as she said, it gets addictive and i had just finished watching the series :S lol
Its not She....I am a male :)
