In Monster Movie, Dean was talking about how he was brought back without any old scars and his virginity in tact. Sam obviously felt a little awkward. I was wondering if that means that he still has the tattoo. If not, would he have to get it redone?

    Now here's the thing... Dean says that he has no scars or anything from before... yet in Lazarus Rising when he looks at his stomache in the mirror you can CLEARLY see that tattoo.. how is that possible that he has no scars yet he has a tattoo? weird to me.. here's the link..

    That is odd. Maybe tattoos don't count as injuries, so they don't get healed.

    doesnt the tattoo protect them anyway? that was the reason they got them so in hell would the tattoo have healed since it protects him?

    yeh thats a good point it seems like it doesnt seem to have protected him from going to hell enless its only certain things it will work on.

    as far as i remember the tattoo keeps them only save from being possessed by a demon not from being harmed or tortured. maybe castiel made sure dean keept his so he is not getting possessed by a demon the moment he is freed from hell. if the angels have plans for him i think they make sure he is not taken over by some demon like sam in 2x14.
