I agree. Nothing special...For a while there I thought it was the end of Chloe Sullivan when I saw her have her memory erased, yet it was a pleasant surprise in the script to see her end up back with good old Brainac.

And yeah, it's weird how Clark is always so clumsy...a few episodes back I could see him becoming more mature and a little more Superman (justice league style) stubborn, direct etc....yet why the contradictions?

    Clark, toughen the f..k up!

yes i agree it is very annoying how recently clark does get beaten up so easily and fustrating lol and i also wonder when he is going to start flying? and how he starts, but i suppose that when he does thats is the transition from smallville to superman complete in a way

Umm.. just a side note. Keep in mind that Doomsday is the character that /kills/ Superman in the comics :) I would have actually been quite disappointed if Clark hadn't gotten beaten like a doll.

Also, throughout the series we've seen that Clark is not much of a fighter. He's immensly strong and unhurtable, but you get this guy around a rock of Kryptonite and he turns into a putz. He can't fight. He relies on his abilities.

Every time he hasn't had access to his powers, he's become as useless as any other 'normal' character, with few exceptions to both comments.

I agree PrncRny, in a way. Clark's character surprised me in the episode when we see him back in some slave camp just after he and luthor go missing after the collapse of the fortress of solitude. In this episode he didn't have his powers and was still kick ass, probably even more than usual.

Clark once again, toughen the f...k up.

I hope he goes out with a banger against Dooms.

Yeah. That ep was a break from the powerless-clark pattern that we've seen. Refreshing, really.

Hopefully he stays that way. I mean, not powerless, but not helpless when he IS without his powers.

If clark was a fighter, or at least had some skill, he would do a LOT better imo.. I'm just remembering other times he fought and looked like a douche.. e.g when he was fighting the wraith in his body.. what the hell is that thing where he jumps in the air with a fist expecting to hit him..? Also when he was fighiting the WWE person Kane..

Clark never has been much of a fighter but I suppose that is meant to show that if he didn't have his superpowers then maybe he would be a lover, not a fighter :). Also, Traegon is right, Doomsday is the only person who can kill Clark so y does it come as such as shock to people that he is easily defeated by the guy?

I totally disagree, i think it was a great episode to show how clark shows his human emotions and how that separates him, also you all know what was goingh to happen because of the comics, clark doesnt he is a character, how is he supposts to know to be on high alert on his best friends wedding. It also shows the separation of clark and chloe, so it makes room for louis to move in...There was also a room full of party guests at the wqedding he cant exactly just spring into action. He is maturing but it doesnt mean his feelings for people he cares about doesnt thats the whole point of SUPERMAN!
