...after watching the finale i had to say i was left feeling rather sad about the outcome...i mean what hell is sam going to do without dean... Am looking towards to season four ...

It was such as sad episode but at least it means that there will definately be some great 'breaking Dean out of hell' action in the next episode.
i had a feeling dean would 'die' when they were playing carry on my wayward son. they are gunna find some way to break dean's soul out of hell... becuase lets face it the show just won't be as good with just sam even though i love him to death
i think next season sam will definately get dean out of hell. my prediction is that he'll have to do a couple of things to accomplish this. first, he'll probably have to start harnessing more of his supernatual powers. second, i think he and bobby will probably go traveling across the country and building up an army to march right into hell and pull dean out. probably ruby will be involved with this somehow as well. either way, waiting till fall to find out will be unbearable.
I must admit i got so many questions after watching the finale...Will dean come back as a demon but on the good aka like Angel...or we he turn bad all together.., will sam and dean's dad come back as well....
i mean the questions are endless...

I think the next season will involve Sam coming to learn and use whatever these powers of his are. Lilith sure didn't fancy locking horns with him much - so what is our boy actually holding? I suspect he'll stride into Hell and take Dean - but then Dean is going to have to try to stop him going over to the "dark side" as he becomes progressively more powerful....Anyone agree?
Wait wait wait... Is this the END of this season? When will the next episode come? I can't wait for it! And I really don't want Sam to become the principal character of the show, i prefer Dean. Anyway, this episod was actually truly emotional, i'm dying for the continuation...
The funny thing is Ive missed alot of episodes but I couldn't miss this one :P Was awesome
I think Dean will come back rather soon, cause let's face it, he's so much sexier than Sam ^^
Another question, did anybody understand why Lilith couldn't kill Sam? She tried, didn't she, that was that light, but then it suddenly stopped and Sam attacked her with the knife and she left. I just can't figure out why, did Sam use his powers??
I'm guessing Sam emitted some of his powers and it acted as a barrier against Lillith's 'light' or whatever it was. If he's powerful enough to stop Lillith, I'm sure he'll be able to break Dean out of hell. I just can't wait til fall! That's too long :( I'm really looking forward to it though :D

I think we all share the SAME PAIN ...(Waiting for fall for Season Four) and to find out what will happen to Dean, he too good looking for hell!

I guess the reason why he never used his powers is because the writers wanted to save some materials for the next season and keep us guessin (Pure Evil) lol

hmm. well i bet lilith not being able to kill dean has something to do with deans original deal, the whole sacrificing himself for sam, sam lives he dies, he hadnt died yet so lilith couldnt kill sam until the deal was complete. and i also want to give a fairwell to jenson ankles i dont think ill watch the show after hes gone i hate his replacement , those squinty eyes its sapose to make him look cool? i hate those squinty eyes

I was wondering the same thing!! sure sam is gonna try and bring dean back from hell, but their dad climbed out of hell too and he went up to heaven right? so since its only dean'd soul he's getting out of hell how is he gonna get back inside his body and be the old dean again?? and if he does manage to do it then why the hell didnt their father do it too??
but anyways, the show is nothing without dean, so they better figure out somethin good to get him back...cant wait to see what the writers come up with in season 4!!
