Who Else is Departing Wisteria Lane?
As we already reported, Andrea Bowen (Julie) will no longer be living on Wisteria Lane come next Fall.
Who else is definitely gone? A lot of the younger people, including Joy Lauren (Danielle), Lyndsy Fonseca (Dylan), and Brent and Shane Kinsman (Lynette's devil twins).
None of these absences will be all that impactive on the series (in my opinion), as they were never major roles anyway. However, a bigger shock would be if James Denton (Mike Delfino) were not to return, which is the current word on the street (or at least that his departure is a distinct possibility).
It kind of makes sense if Mike is gone, since we know that Susan is no longer with him 5 years in the future. However, it will certainly still seem like a big change for the show since Mike has been there since the beginning. And, if Mike truly is gone, the somewhat pressing question still remains, what exactly did happen to him (and Susan)?

OK, I think that the reason that they did the 5 year thing is bcause of the writers strike. I will b greatly disappointed if Mike does not come back.
After all the years of drama involving Susan and Mike, the EXHAUSTING years of drama, they had better not get rid of him this soon. That would just be frustrating. If you're going to make the audience sit through episode after episode of drama and silly circumstances keeping them apart and then finally bring them together, don't just get rid of one immediately. That drives me nuts. I'm not a big fan of Susan and Mike, but come on. I've spent countless hours watching this show, I at least need some payback here by seeing them happy together.
I completely agree :) Mike better not go!
He will SO still be around! Unless he is dead and he becomes the new 'voice' of Wisteria Lane!!
I see a perfect opportunity for them to do the whole "divorced but still in love" thing. A bit like Susan and her 1st husband but in a more interesting way maybe?
Maybe he went on vacation and his plane crashed on a moved hidden island where the oceanic six came from only to be seen on Thursdays instead of Sundays. If he doesn't end up on the island, it seems they will send edie there by popular vote.
Even if they do get rid of him, they will have to explain why. He'll probably be around for at least the next season. I think the show is going to become all about flashbacks.
I have the same feeling as auntysara about having a mystery concerning flashbacks. They would make a huge mistake by just simply wrighting one of the important men out of the show just like that. It can't be. The most logical thing would be that the fifth season is about the separation with Susan, and how he disappears out of Wisteria Lane.
ommmmg !!i don't want the twins too leave :(:(
Mike is super awesome i cant believe that susan mike arent together. I freaking screamed when i didnt see him at the end and they just got married and had a baby.
Yeah.. what happens to the baby then? They'll have to have Mike inn for at least an episode or so because they have to explain some things. (there are ways to do so without bringing him back but it would be nicer to at least see him once) But i think that he will be back, maybe it was just for the suspence that they put the other guy at the end of the season.. :o what if susan is cheating?? (!!!) there are tons of possibilities.
