I'm just watching second season now...I must have missed something cause the marriage of George is confusing me....


Why is he marrying this girl? Why did he rape her on wedding night? Is he gay? (at the reception that one guy kinda insinuated so...)

    George is in love with the musician, I forget his name. The reason he is marrying the girl is because in short they have to. Neither of them want the marriage. He rapes her because he has to consummate the marriage and he doesn't really want to so he forces himself and her. This rape plays a major role in the story because she begins to hate him from then on, you'll see why later in the series. I hope this helped and didn't confuse you more
