Mark Ruffalo is speaking out about the tragic death of his brother.
"Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband," a rep for the actor said in a statement. "The funeral service will be private."
Scott Ruffalo, 39, died Monday night, one week after he was shot in the head inside his Beverly Hills apartment.
Suspect Released
On Wednesday, Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, was released from the Beverly Hills jail where she'd been held as a suspect in the attempted murder of Scott Ruffalo since turning herself in Monday, the Associated Press reports.
Adham's lawyer, Ronald Richards, says that his client was let go after he presented evidence to police showing that the gunshot wound to Ruffalo was self-inflicted.
A police sergeant told the AP that more information about the case would be released Wednesday.
Brian Burton Scofield, 29, who had been named as a person of interest in the case and was being held by police, was also released from jail.
