Response to Feedback

In response to appeals from the SideReel community, effective immediately SideReel's handling of violations of its terms and guidelines have changed. These changes include:

- Violators of our guidelines and terms will be banned immediately.

- Links that force users through any type of Zango will no longer be tolerated as well and will lead to being banned.

Review the SideReel Terms & Conditions and the Link Adding Guidelines for more detail.

   How would the Sidereel PtB like for us regular members to report Zango-violating links?

   
   

   In the past I've just been clicking the "Link Broken?" link. Perhaps they could add a new feature to report these types of violations?

   Thats a really good idea, like a spam link button. And maybe if enough people click it, say 10 for any link then it is automatically removed.

   There are some links that still use the old Zango prompts, whereby you actually are given the option.. Will these sites be kept?

   yes.actually,i agree with muffinman..

   in zango,there is this option to prompt you if u want to install or not instead of the forced download.

   is it not allowed?

   As of now any site that violates the guidelines will be banned and their links will be removed. Sites in question can appeal being banned after making modifications to be in line with the guidelines.

   I am completely against allowing any sites that have Zango (even with the prompt), as never have I seen any of them actually work, just as I have never seen any of the Firefox sites work (even after downloading and installing Firefox). Take your links elsewhere, as well as anything with blogspot.com in the address. These should all immediately be erased and the offending mamber at least temp banned.

   I'm finding that alot of links like blogspot add multiples of their site. Granted some blogspot links a spam(which I still dont understand). There are blogspot links that are good though. They just have multiples. I'm thinking of adding a catagory for multiples to the movies I find them on. Any ideas all? If working links are marked as spam because they are multiples its shorting us on good links right?

   It doesn't matter anymore. Moderators are rampantly deleting all links on sidereel anyway, thanks to the concerns of copyright holders. This website does not host content only links which are not illegal!
