    It WAS a scenic overlook that was nothing but an area next to fairplay which is a town so small and remote it has a cop car outside of it along the pass going into it that people stand on for pics etc. I lived in Colorado when southpark came out and it was good comedy to us locals that they used a place that would be near impossible to find and wasn't back then a town at all.

    Secondary to all this I dated a girl who has a cousin who Kenny's char is made after and Southpark was something you just didn't bring up in her family lol. They even had a lawsuit against Trey and Matt for defamation of character. I never met the guy but I will say his parents fit the cartoon ones to a T. Great funny stuff and I'm a huge fan.

    Yeah, it's a well known fact that's it's a real place. For instance the social networking platform Twitter.com is based in South Park.
