SideReel has over 25,000 of your favorite TV shows, films, actors, and more. Each show, film, or person has its own user created and edited page including information, links to watch, and sections for news, reviews, and discussions.

SideReel is a community built site. Everything on the site is contributed by people like you. You can create a new page, edit a page, add cast and crew, add images, add links to watch, write your own reviews, discussions, and news.

SideReel is community built. Everything from news, to discussions, to links, to images and summaries, are all added and curated by people like you! Want to help?
It's easy - all you need is a SideReel account and the desire to help make SideReel better. With an account you can be the expert, the critic, the fan and the reporter. You're in charge.
Dive in...
The best way to get started is to find a topic on SideReel that you care about - one of your favorite shows, films, actors or genres and start contributing to it (or you can add a new one).
You can:
- Add news to one or more topics (pages)
- Add a review
- Start a discussion
- Edit any page and update the metadata (summary, cast or crew, release date, or more)
- Add links to appropriate resources, videos and more
- Remove broken links
- Vote on great posts (news, reviews and discussion)
- Compliment users who do great things
- Keep an eye out for Spam and other inappropriateness
- Review the link adding guidelines

Subscribe to the SideReel Maintenance Feeds
One way to help is to subscribe to one of the SideReel maintenance feeds using your favorite RSS reader or web browser. The SideReel community uses the feeds listed below to watch for spam, to find inappropriate or illegal link posts, reward users for doing great things, and to generally stay abreast of the latest changes to the site. With these feeds you can track almost everything that happens on SideReel.
If you're interested in only following a particular page or topic, make sure to take advantage of the search functionality in your RSS reader.

Link Updates Feed
You can help keep the links on SideReel up to date! Watch this feed and make sure that links are added, removed and edited correctly and legally. Check our Terms of Service for guidelines.
Broken Link Feed (aka "The Morgue")
When a link is marked "broken" by a user, it's added to this feed. Anyone can review the feed, and as long as you're logged in, you can re-add links that have been improperly marked as broken.
Find and reward users for making Great contributions
Many SideReelers spend a great deal of time and effort keeping the pages updated, adding the latest news, reviewing shows, finding appropriate links, getting rid of dead links, and more. If you come across something that you think deserves recognition - give it to 'em!
Let them know - Give them a compliment
If you see a user on SideReel doing something great, let them know by giving them a compliment (
Compliment graphic). They'll appreciate it.
Let everyone know!
Every topic on SideReel provides a discussion and news area. You can take a moment to add a post giving someone public credit for doing something great on the site.

Help Fight the War Against Spam
Some choose to abuse the privileges offered by a community built and editable site through adding inappropriate content to the site. We rely on each other to help weed out this content and keep the site clean of it. Here's what to watch for and what to do...
Links
Anyone can add, edit or remove links from SideReel. Links should follow the link adding guidelines. Bad links should be removed. Good links preserved and appropriately categorized for the content in question.
Every page has a "link history" that you can review to see the recent link activity for the page. In addition, the Link Changes Feed and Broken Link feed provide a sitewide history of link activity. All valuable resources to help considerate SideReelers keep the site spick'n'spam.
You can take action yourself by adding or removing the infringing link and politely notifying the user of the action taken, or you can report spam or other inappropriate link activities to Spam Sucks or the SideReel Moderator Forum. Site moderators and admins have additional powers whereby to rectify the situation.
Duplicate pages
Anyone can create a new page on SideReel and, in some cases, this has led to duplicate pages. Duplicate pages can be remedied through "redirecting" one page to another via the Wiki text.
Inappropriate speech, vandalism and other forms of malfeasance
If you encounter improper or profanity on the site and feel that it is inappropriate, either conscientously edit the content in question or, if you do not have the access, please notify us immediately and provide a link to the content in question.
Become a Featured Reviewer
Are you a big TV fan? Are you enjoying Weeds, Burn Notice, The Closer, Psych, or Mad Men? Or is there another summer show that is your favorite?
SideReel is looking for Featured Reviewers for the summer TV season!
You'll get prominent placement on SideReel; the home page is viewed between 150,000 and 200,000 times each day. A link to your personal entertainment blog (i.e. your public SideReel profile page) will be proudly displayed around the site. You'll also be first in line for upcoming badges and awards for reviewers.
Featured Reviewers write weekly episode reviews of their selected show which will then be featured on our News page and on the SideReel homepage.

If you're a FireFox user, check out this awesome add-on that SideReel moderator Hunter.S has created.
The tool adds a sidebar to the left side of your Firefox screen that allows you to add a link or create a post on SideReel without leaving the website that you are currently on!
