'American Horror Story: Coven' Parallels Mean Girl Culture

I don't think we needed to watch (and adore) Tina Fey's Mean Girls in order to understand that a lot of girls just don't have each other's backs. Girls can be cunning, twisted, jealous, and manipulative, and as much as it sucks, it's a fact of life. At least, according to film. In the recent episodes of American Horror Story: Coven , Ryan Murphy seems to be wrapping up the season with one particular theme in mind: betrayal.  Read More... http://www.buddytv.com/articles/american-horror-story/american-horror-story-coven-pa-52338.aspx

American Horror Story: Who Accidentally Flashed Co-Stars Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson?

Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson got an eyeful when one of their male co-stars showed off his cojones… on accident! When we asked Viggle LIVE! users to identify the actor in question, respondents were nearly stumped — a very narrow majority answered correctly! The actor in question was Evan Peters, who flashed his "family jewels," if you will while filming a scene in which his character is whipped by Jessica's nun character in American Horror Story: Asylum, while Sarah's journalist character... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/47cpwmuO7kM/2014-01-16-american-horror-story-actor-flashed

'American Horror Story: Coven': RIP Delphi Trust, we hardly knew ye

Was this the weirdest "American Horror Story: Coven" episode to date? It was certainly one of the bloodiest, but a lot of the small touches also made it super weird. The CorporationFiona and Marie set up a meeting with the Delphi Trust members, who honestly appear to be there to negotiate in good faith, offering the witches a 100-year truce. But the witches are having none of it and the Axeman dispenses of the men in short order, blood spurting every which way but loose. Except for Hank's papa, whom Fiona gets to kill herself in an axe blow to the jugular. More blood! Hooray? The CovenTurns out Queenie was able to heal herself and reassemble Madame LaLaurie, so now she's back and she thinks she's the next Supreme (because of these new powers). Queenie gives Cordelia what-for about Delia being so weak, so Cordelia decides she should stab out her own eyeballs in order to... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/american-horror-story-coven-rip-delphi-trust-we-hardly-knew-ye.html

American Horror Story Sets Its Sights on 1950

Next season of American Horror Story will be set in 1950, Ryan Murphy says. "If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some more clues in that year. It's a period piece," Murphy tells EW . "We try and do the opposite of what we've done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I'm very excited!" AHS already covered Nazis in season two — boy, did it — so here's hoping Lange is practicing a German accent for other reasons. Let's see, what are the biggies for 1950? McCarthyism? Korean War? All About Eve ?   http://www.vulture.com/2014/01/american-horror-story-season-four.html

'American Horror Story' Season 4: Most of the cast returning, probably a period piece

"American Horror Story" is currently bringing its third season, "Coven," to a close on FX. Creator Ryan Murphy has so far been mum about what Season 4 will look like, but FX Networks CEO John Landgraf dropped a few juicy details at the 2014 TCA press tour panel Tuesday (Jan. 14)."I think it'll probably be a period piece again, I don't think it'll be contemporary," says Landgraf. "I know that most of the current cast will be returning in some form, though I don't know what characters they'll be playing. I'm waiting for [Murphy] to tell me. ... Every season has an opportunity to sell a new setting and new characters and a new tone to the audience."Landgraf adds that Murphy basically has the leeway to take the show in any direction he wants. "Ryan has virtual carte blanche at this point to do whatever he wants to do," says Landgraf.
