The fourth season will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952. It will be centered around one of the few remaining freak shows at the time, as its members do anything to keep the business alive. The season will focus on the conflict between the freaks and the "evil forces" who do not understand them. The season will also feature a "clown killer" and a "bearded lady."

American Horror Story is a revolutionary show that touches completely different subjects season by season keeping most of the same cast. The show has just the right amount of horror, fantasy, drama and thrill to keep you on the edge of your seat. I always look forward to watching and i recommend everyone give this show a try.

So creepy, I love it. Each season gets better.

I wish I could rate the individual seasons...but I'd say this is a good average. Season 1 was a masterpiece - a beautiful arch with subtle creepiness (5 stars). Season 2 was a disaster...seriously it was like a cluster of every horror cliche and it seemed like when the producers realized it was too much they just knocked them off randomly, one by one (1.5 stars). Season three tried to bring back some of the beauty and even some of... More

Season three tried to bring back some of the beauty and even some of the couples from season 1, but didn't quite make it (4 stars). Still, looking onward to season four there's promise (plus I can't help but be a little smug since I've been thinking they should do a circus theme since season 2 ;D).

If you are looking to get a good scare then this is the show for you! First season was very scary as its about ghosts and it only got better in the second season where it takes place in an asylum! Now topping that off might be hard but they did again when they introduced the dark side of witchcraft and voodoo. That season was more gory than scary in my opinion that's why they lost half a star. I am excited for the new season as that... More

I like the Anthology aspect of the show. The fact that there are several recognizable ghost stories taken from all over the United Stated and melded into a workable plot. I found Season 2 a little strange and was slightly put off but as I researched some of the stories that went into it. I liked it a little better. Some times Reality can be more frightening than fiction.

The first season was a little confusing, but it broke ground for the others. I love the rotation of the actors into different roles, and all of them are superb. Jessica Lange is always fascinating, no matter what she plays. And Kathy Bates couldn't be a better pick. Even the not-so-well-known cast members are standouts. The scripting is done so well that you can't figure out what's coming (that's my standard for a 5-star rating - if I... More

And who can get over that weird opening music & reference imagery for that season - just amazing. Can't wait for Freak Show!

This is a great show, and definitely one of my favourites! It has a dash of everything - the gory horror - mystery and suspense - the supernatural - teen, adult and family drama - love triangles - rivalry, betrayal and a thirst for power - etc... I like that they mix it up each season to focus on different settings and scenarios, and still re-introduce some of our beloved actors in different roles, which also shows how talented and diverse those actors they are (I'm particularly fond of Jessica Lange and Evan Peters). I enjoyed all the seasons particularly 'Coven' and I have high hopes for 'Freak Show' and hope that it's even better than the previous seasons!

Sure, it's gory and sometimes a little scary. But American Horror Story's ability to blend horror, drama, and comedy so well is what makes it stand out!
