The Most Important Shows on TV: Week of October 5, 2015

Which TV series will your friends (and the entire internet) be talking about this week? Stay informed—or at least be able to fake it—with SideReel's weekly guide to The Most Important Shows on TV.   Fresh Off the Boat Tuesday at 8:30pm on ABC Why: Shaq (as in THE Shaq, as in Shaquille O'Neal, as in Kazaam ) is guest starring on a show in which the main character idolizes him. It's 1995 (or maybe 1996) so this is a BFD. Like, the BIGGEST FD. Gosh, the '90s were a magical time. #90skid Prepare to talk about: The Shaq Attack (attaq?); how much you miss the mid-'90s; whether you miss the real Eddie Huang's narration now that it's gone from the show; how happy you are to not be in middle school.     Arrow (Season Premiere) Wednesday at 8:00pm on The CW Why: Well, for one thing, this season's villain is named Damien Darhk, and somehow this isn't automatically a red flag. Oh, to live in comics world where such things go vaguely unnoticed! Also, Felicity is NOT loving life in the 'burbs (who can resist the siren call of Star City?), but Oliver wants kids(!) so I'm assuming they'll think about school districts for a hot second before moving back to the city and fighting crime, but probably not. Prepare to talk about: Damien Darhk: most obvious villain name ever? What a baby Arrow would be like; how we haven't really had a suburban superhero, like, ever.   The Walking Dead (Season Premiere) Sunday at 9:00pm on AMC Why: Really? I mean, really? OK! It's only the most successful cable zombie show of all time and it's also a prestige cable zombie show. Plus, Rick Grimes! Grimey! Also, Fear the Walking Dead has been more like Fear the Walking Dud , you know? So be happy the OG version is back. Prepare to talk about: What's happened in the aftermath of Rick's big, dramatic, season 5-ending speech; why these people wouldn't move to Canada or North Dakota where at least it's cold and the bodies of zombies probably don't stink as bad as they do in the American South; who dies (I mean, someone probably will... someone usually does).     Leah E. Sara and Laurel's Relationship Will Be Stronger Than Ever on Arrow

'Arrow' video: Watch the creation of the Black Canary
