Being Human at Comic-Con: Sams, Showrunners and Scoop!

A strange thing happened in the Being Human press room at Comic-Con: Everyone disappeared. While everyone else was taken to another area, our table was let in the quiet to enjoy what those in attendance had to say. First up were showrunners, producers and married couple Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke. They discussed last year's theme - characters turning away from their demons - and how season two will force each to embrace his/her monster just a bit more. Anyone who thought Nora might have come out of her own nightmare unscathed was wrong, and they delighted in talking about it. The characters have been through so much together by the time the series starts again, all of their inhibitions with each other have disappeared: http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/07/being-human-at-comic-con-sams-showrunners-and-scoop/

'Being Human' creator Toby Whithouse talks 'Doctor Who' and 'The God Complex'

Under the regime of executive producer and showrunner Steven Moffat, "Doctor Who" has taken a noticeably spooky turn, but it doesn't look like even the Weeping Angels could have prepared us for the chills to come in "The God Complex." The two-minute clip for the eleventh episode of the current season that debuted at Comic-Con includes a fundamentalist rant, a faceless Minotaur and a clown sitting on what appears to be dirty hotel linens. Zap2it met with writer Toby Whithouse, who penned the episode, just before screening the teaser. And though he's perhaps best known for his own series, "Being Human," this is a man that knows his "Who." "I genuinely love writing for 'Doctor Who,'" says Whithouse. "It's not something I need to do, but I'll always go back to it. There is something about the show that is utterly magic and perfect... I'm genuinely very honored to be a part of the 'Doctor... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/07/being-human-creator-toby-whithouse-talks-doctor-who-and-the-god-complex.html

Dollhouse Alum Set to Join Being Human

It may still be several months before   Being Human   returns for its second season on Syfy, but we've now gotten the first big news since the   show was renewed   this past March.   Dollhouse  alum Dichen Lachman will be joining the show as Izumi, a vampire royal who will be making waves with her return to Boston. It seems that Aidan is the member of the show's main trio that will most be affected by Izumi's presence on the show, so they're bound to have some type of deliciously complicated history that will be unraveled when the show returns in early 2012. 'Being Human': Sam Witwer on tonight's 'brave' finale

Being Human  closes out its freshman season tonight on Syfy, and if Sam Witwer’s (pictured, right) warnings are true, it stands to change a big part of what fans have come to know about the show during its 13-episode season. And considering the various predicaments in which we last left our trio of other beings (Aidan was dying, Josh was on his way to being a were-daddy, and Sally’s door is open) there’s no telling where this is headed. In a chat with EW, Witwer talks about the show’s future as it preps for a second season and addresses how the cast dealt with the inevitable comparisons to the British series this season. Being Human Season Finale Sneak Peek: A Funny Thing Happened ...

The penultimate episode of Being Human's first season, "You're the One That I Haunt," started out strong, but faded down the stretch last night, as our review noted. Josh and Nora finally got some good news last night, while we learned who Celine is and Sally's door appeared. Bishop staked Aidan, who bled, but didn't turn to dust. Next week is the season finale, titled "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Me Killing You." Check out a sneak peek from the SyFy series and see what you think ... http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/04/being-human-season-finale-sneak-peek-a-funny-thing-happened/
