Congolaise poster

This 67-minute documentary was lensed in Equatorial Africa. The narration explains that it was the purpose of the filmmakers to record the lifestyles of the primitive tribes of the Congo before Civilization wipes out all vestiges of ancient tribal customs and mores. Highlights include a brace of hunting expeditions and a fertility dance. The editors could have trimmed the tedious canoeing sequences without doing any harm to the overall film.
