That was the smallest debut ever for an in-season scripted show on one of the big four networks.Thursday's (Feb. 7) fell further, drawing only 2.2 million people and a 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic. Only The CW's "Beauty and the Beast" drew a smaller audience Thursday night on the broadcast networks. 'Do No Harm' Premiere: Modern-Day Jekyll And Hyde

NBC premiered the latest television take on the classic tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In this case it's the strange case of Dr. Jason Cole and his alter ego, Ian. Steven Pasquale takes on the dual role of a renowned neurosurgeon by day and a crazed psychopath by night. When the series picks up, Jason had managed to keep Ian subdued by knocking himself out for twelve hours every night. His alter ego normally takes over between 8:25 p.m. and 8:25 a.m. The problem is that Ian has built up an immunity to the serum, and so he starts breaking free. 'Do No Harm': Modern-day Jekyll & Hyde hits Philadelphia

One of the more telling behind-the-scenes aspects about the NBC drama "Do No Harm," which premieres Thursday, Jan. 31, is that star Steven Pasquale has two start times for work. One is for Jason Cole, a respected neurosurgeon; the other is for Ian Price, a violent psycho.Dr. Cole rules from 8:25 a.m. until 8:25 p.m.; Price controls the body they both occupy at night. And to help make sure he's in the right frame of mind, Pasquale has a separate chair for each character.Yes, another split-personality show, and the logical comparison for this one is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."At 8:25 he becomes a different guy," Pasquale tells Zap2it. "They sound the same and walk the same. From a performance standpoint, I didn't want to make them so violently different. Ian is a drug addict, a sex-addict sociopath, a sexual predator."The character has dealt with dissociative identity disorder for as long as he can remember, Pasquale... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/01/do-no-harm-modern-day-jekyll-hyde-hits-philadelphia.html

'Do No Harm' pilot: Watch Steven Pasquale in NBC's new show now

NBC's new series "Do No Harm," inspired by "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde," doesn't premiere on TV until Thursday, January 31 at 10 p.m. EST, but you can watch the whole first episode here on Zap2it right now. In the show, Steven Pasquale plays neurosurgeon Dr. Jason Cole -- by day. Every night, at 8:25 p.m., Jason transforms into his devious alternate personality, Ian Price. For most of his adult life, Jason has been able to keep Ian at bay by taking a daily drug cocktail, but he's grown tolerant of it, and now he finds himself forced to let Ian roam every night for twelve hours. At 8:25 a.m., Ian promptly turns back into Jason. Those 12 hours, though, are plenty of time for Ian to do his best to ruin Jason's life -- professionally and personally. Of course, Ian has to exercise a bit of restraint, because he and Jason share the same body.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/01/do-no-harm-pilot-watch-steven-pasquale-in-nbcs-new-show-now.html
