'Downton Abbey' Season 6 reportedly the end: Is it time?

Is "Downton Abbey" currently filming its last season? It looks that way. TVLine is reporting that the upcoming sixth season of the popular ITV/PBS period drama will be its last season. According to an insider, almost all of the current cast's contracts expire after Season 6 and the actors are ready to move on. "You can keep the show going without Matthew and Sybil, but you can't continue it without the entire Crawley family," says the source. This comes on the heels of Maggie Smith quipping that she doesn't see how her character can possibly go on after next season, since the show is into the late 1920s and her character Lady Violet "must be 110 by now."
