TV ratings: 'Big Bang Theory' wins Thursday for CBS; 'Two and a Half Men' up in timeslot change

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014Thursday night's regularly scheduled programming was back in a big way now that the Olympics are over, with "The Big Bang Theory" on par with its last new episode and "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" returning to four-month highs on ABC. Elementary Season 2: Why Moriarty and Sherlock Have the Best Romance on TV

Matthew and Mary are so yesterday, and Jess and Nick have resigned themselves to snugly coupledom, which leaves me with precious few TV romances to root for. Then “The Diabolical Kind” happened and  Elementary  reawakened all of my dormant Moriarty and Sherlock feelings. I’ve tried to ignore them for the past few weeks as the series returned to cases of the week, but my mind just keeps going back to that perfect moment in the hallway when Moriarty told Sherlock she tried to do what he would have done. Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014The Winter Olympics gave NBC another dominant ratings win Thursday, as the network's coverage improved a bit on Wednesday's numbers. Overall, the games are running a bit behind the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver -- as expected when the games are staged outside North America."American Idol" held up fairly well opposite the Olympics, as the unveiling of the 30 semifinalists was off only a tenth of a point in adults 18-49 vs. last week. "Rake" was also steady (if low) for FOX. The night's only other original show was "The Taste" on ABC, which was down from a week ago.NBC delivered 22.9 million viewers and a 13.4 rating/21 share in households for the night. Fast National ratings for Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014The opening night of NBC's Winter Olympics coverage scored ratings well below the first day of competition in the 2010 games. But the coverage of preliminary events a day before the opening ceremony still led the Peacock to an easy win for the night."The Big Bang Theory" and "American Idol" each held fairly steady opposite the Olympics, and CBS' "The Millers" actually improved a little in adults 18-49. Elementary Scoop: Rhys Ifans Returns for Mycroft-Centric Finale

  Mycroft is coming back to  Elementary   in a big way! The final episodes of the CBS drama's sophomore run will feature the return of Sherlock's ( Jonny Lee Miller ) brother Mycroft ( Rhys Ifans ) to New York. "He'll be back for four more episodes as we wrap up the season," executive producer  Rob Doherty  tells  TVGuide.com . "We are looking to build a Mycroft-centric story to finish out the season.
