OK, now the shows finale has happened i'll review this. The shows based on a family of three, a mother that's still hung up over a death of a previous boyfriend that happened a few years before her marriage, a father that's so obsessed with his work he has some serious issues, especially when it comes to his son, Ethan, that's not even human, he's an android, (NOT the phone app.). Then Ethan himself that has no human morals to start with but they eventually start to activate mysteriously as the show goes on and as he grows and learns. Two of the shows main characters, the mother and father just makes you feel depressed every time they are on screen, where as Ethan has your attention throughout most of the show as he's the most interesting character of the WHOLE cast, he easily out acts Halle Berry, (NOT that i'm a fan of hers any hows). As the show goes on it's pretty boring to be honest, I only watched it because I wanted to see what was happening with Ethan and what he would grow into in the sense of human feelings, learning, love, ect. Which did not disapoint throughout the show. The shows greatest flaw was the fact it was too hung up on Halle Berry, her past, her depression, her therapy.. shall I go on?.. it was just trying to be ALL ABOUT HER.. when the show was clearly dominated by Ethan's story, which was fantastic compared to H.B.'s. Over all, the show was very slow paced and boring up until they bring in the anti-tech soldier guy who wants to destroy ethan, probably because he watched too much Matrix, and terminator growing up on some classic tv channel, (as it would be known as that far in the future.. lol). Unfortunatly, this characters brought into the show at a VERY late stage and by then most people would lose interest in the show. As the show comes to an end, you see Ethan grown as being more human like, more human traits, which he makes the ultimate choice for what a human could make and totally surprises with his choice he makes. The show ends, with a few little feel good moments and a few sad moments but over all leaves you with the sense of the writers totally ripped off the classic animes and movies.. "ghost in the shell" and "ghost in the machine". In all, if this show gets a season 2 I will be VERY Surprised. CBS has cancelled much better shows than this and with MUCH higher ratings, but a naughty part of me is hoping they will do a second season because of how they left the show with SO MANY open doors and unfinished side plots, but i'm NOT holding my breath. If I had to count how many episodes i enjoyed out of the 13.. I would probably say 3 episodes, that includes the finale.
