TV ratings: 'Private Practice' ends on an up note Tuesday and 'The Taste' starts OK

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013The series finale of "Private Practice" scored its best ratings in three months and helped ABC win a pretty quiet Tuesday night among adults 18-49. The network's culinary competition "The Taste" had an OK premiere, improving its 18-49 rating in each half-hour.Elsewhere, CBS easily won the night in viewers despite airing reruns the entire night. FOX's comedies were up a bit over last week, but "Go On" and "The New Normal" slid for NBC. Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013"NCIS" delivered its second-biggest audience ever Tuesday night, drawing more than 22 million viewers and scoring the night's best adults 18-49 rating as well.CBS scored an across-the-board win for the night, but there were little bits of good news for ABC and NBC too. "Private Practice" ticked up a bit from last week for ABC, while "Go On" rebounded some after a season low last week for NBC. "Parenthood" also repeated as the 18-49 leader at 10 p.m.CBS completely dominated the night in viewers, drawing just under 17 million people and a 10.6 rating/16 share in households. Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013CBS scored an across-the-board ratings win Tuesday as both "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" recorded season bests in total viewers. They also led their respective hours in adults 18-49.NBC's 9 p.m. comedies took a tumble without "The Voice" as their lead-in. Both "Go On" and "The New Normal" had their lowest numbers of the season. FOX's comedies were more or less in line with their season averages.CBS averaged 16.5 million viewers -- more than the other four nets combined -- and a 10.4 rating/16 share in households for the night.
