The CW Orders Full Seasons of The Secret Circle and Hart of Dixie

Just a few hours ago the news broke that The CW had picked up freshman drama Ringer for a full season .  Now the network has announced that it's also giving its two other freshman shows, Hart of Dixie and The Secret Circle , full season orders. “We believe in the creative strength of these dramas, and by giving them back nine orders we can give our audience the chance to enjoy complete seasons of all three of them,” said Mark Pedowitz, president of the CW. “With compelling storylines, engaging characters and tremendous buzz, we firmly believe that Hart of Dixie, Ringer and The Secret Circle can become signature series for the CW, the kind of top-notch shows that are synonymous with our brand.” None of this news should come as a surprise.  As I mentioned in my Ringer article, The CW is in a position where it's slightly difficult to just cancel shows in its limited line-up because it doesn't have a lot on the back-burner to put in empty spots.  One Tree Hill and some reality shows will be premiering mid-season, but that's it for shows ready to be put on the schedule.  In addition, all of these shows are performing well enough for the network to get full season orders.  The big question is which shows will get a second season.  Smart money right now is on The Secret Circle , but I predict Ringer and Hart of Dixie could go either way at this point.  We should know more about that in the spring.

Hart of Dixie Photos & Promo: A Heat Wave Makes Everyone Crazy in Episode 1.04

Hart of Dixie's Zoe is still desperate to fit in in Bluebell.  While it looked like the town wasn't willing to be so welcoming after last week's parade fiasco, she and Brick had to come together to save a farmer's life.  But their temporary truce came to a bitter end when Brick took credit for saving the farmer's life.  Although, it looked like both sides might be willing to meet half way once they realized that both of them are helpful to the practice. Meanwhile, Brick hired a new receptionist for the medical practice.  Didi immediately clashed with Zoe, but was very interested in Lavon.  Lemon wasn't happy to hear about Didi's crush and was determined to drive her out of town, which didn't make Lavon very happy. 'Hart of Dixie': Rachel Bilson's BFF cast! Meet Megan Stevenson

Though she's officially a resident of Bluebell, Alabama after trouncing Brick Breeland in the gumbo cookoff, "Hart of Dixie's" Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) hasn't left New York City too far behind. In an upcoming episode, we'll meet her friend Gigi from NYC -- and Zap2it has exclusively confirmed that Megan Stevenson will play the character, who comes to Bluebell for an unexpected visit. Though she's a relative newcomer to the TV biz, fans may recognize Stevenson from a memorable guest appearance on an episode of last year's "$#*! My Dad Says," when she starred as Amy, who went on a double date with Henry, his famed Dad, and her aunt. Zoe will certainly have plenty to deal with as the season continues. Executive producer Leila Gerstein confirms that we will see Zoe's mother again, and she'll likely also get a visit from her (non-biological) father this season as well. Not to mention the new veterinarian in...

'Hart of Dixie': Will Rachel Bilson finally take down the grumpy town doc?

We've two episodes in to "Hart of Dixie," and we're already incredibly invested in the sweet, charming story of Bluebell, Alabama -- and, of course, in Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and her progress as the new doctor in town. In the first two episodes, Zoe didn't have much luck facing off against veteran Bluebell practitioner Brick (Tim Matheson). Have no fear, "Dixie" fans -- Zoe will earn Brick's respect -- and the respect of the town -- sooner than you think. We attended a Q&A with the cast and executive producer Leila Gerstein on Monday, and Gerstien assured us that Zoe and Brick would come to a bit of an understanding in the strangest of places... the Great Gumbo Showdown. "Tonight is a big episode between Zoe and Brick," Gerstein teases. "Zoe is going to take on Brick Breeland in the gumbo contest. It's a very big Brick/Zoe episode. They end in a very different place."...

Rachel Bilson Breaks the News to Regis That 'Hart of Dixie' Town Doesn't Exist (VIDEO)

The new CW show 'Hart of Dixie' stars Rachel Bilson as Zoe Hart, a New York doctor who moves to Blue Bell, Alabama to work at a general practice. On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), Bilson talked about the "fish-out-of-water" story, which is executive-produced by former 'The O.C.' creator Josh Schwartz, and broke the news to Regis that Blue Bell isn't actually a real town. Regis and Kelly both seemed to liked the idea of the show actually shooting in Blue Bell. "I want to live there!" Kelly exclaimed. When Regis excitedly asked if Bilson had met any southern gentlemen while filming, she had to gently break the news that Blue Bell is just a fictional town, and that the show shoots on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. "Maybe if it actually existed, and if we actually shot there ..." she lamented.

Hart of Dixie Episode Teaser: Gumbo Games!

Zoe Hart will not give up, folks! Despite a less-than-stellar attempt to fit in to Bluebell on this week's episode of Hart of Dixie - she crashed the mayor's float in the Founder's Day parade... but for good reason! - this doctor will try once again to endear herself to the locals next Monday night. How? Via a gumbo cook-off, of course! Can Zoe actually cook? That's the question Lavon and Wade have for her in the following teaser. Check it out now:

'Hart of Dixie' heat wave: Rachel Bilson gets steamy in exclusive pics

Have we mentioned that we love "Hart of Dixie"? Because we love "Hart of Dixie." After a rough Monday at work -- because aren't all Mondays rough? -- a little escape to Bluebell, Alabama is exactly what we need.In the Oct. 17 episode, The CW is turning up the heat on Rachel Bilson and her cohorts. And when the heatwave hits, the clothes come off... and the inhibitions go out the window. In the case of Zoe (Bilson), the weather induces inexplicable symptoms: like a seriously strong attraction to Wade (Wilson Bethel). We're not sure why she douses him with the cold water in these exclusive photos, because it sounds like she's the one who needs cooling off after extended exposure to him and Levon (Cress Williams) sans shirts.Elsewhere in town, George's (Scott Porter) parents come in for a visit and Lemon (Jaime King) goes out of her way to please them. Unfortunately, when they...

Jaime King: My Hart of Dixie Character Has a World of Hurt Inside Her

At first glance, Jaime King 's character Lemon Breeland on Hart of Dixie seems like the perfect Southern woman — with a side of attitude. But King says there's a world of hurt inside her. "You find out that Lemon's mother left her when she was 16 years old, so she has a really big hole there," King tells "This huge desire to be perfect, have people like her and to be the perfect woman comes from her thinking that maybe it's something she did that caused her mom to leave."

'Hart of Dixie' Casts Lemon's Younger Sister

One week in and Hart of Dixie is already expanding its world. The CW drama, set in the Deep South and starring  The O.C. 's  Rachel Bilson , will introduce the younger sister to Southern belle, Lemon ( Jaime King ), in an upcoming episode,  The Hollywood Reporter  has learned. Fifteen-year-old singer-actress  Claudia Lee  has been cast as Magnolia, first appearing in the Nov. 7 hour.
