“Mama” June Shannon says that when it comes to discipline, she doesn’t mind that her daughter, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, rules the roost. Honey Boo Boo's 'Uncle Poodle': I'm HIV Positive

Honey Boo Boo's beloved "Uncle Poodle" has revealed he's HIV positive. Uncle Poodle -- whose real name is Lee Thompson -- tells Atlanta's Fenuxe magazine he was diagnosed with HIV last year, and now hopes to lend his newfound star power to promoting safe sex in schools. "I was adamant about getting my HIV status checked on a regular basis," Thompson told Fenuxe writer Dino Thompson-Sarmiento. After learning he'd tested positive in May 2012, he said, "I knew it had been my boyfriend who infected me. I later learned he had been HIV positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it. I was advised that I should press charges and, hesitantly, I did. It was the right thing to do." Thompson, who reportedly tied the knot with his husband Josh last August, calls people who are having unsafe sex "damn fools," and noted, "They are playing Russian roulette; they are playing with their lives and that of their sexual partners." He added, "I know what it is like to be bullied. I know what it is like to live with HIV. I can help and I want to." Read the full interview with Uncle Poodle here .

'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' ban: Mama June kicks Crazy Tony off the show

Mama June is done dealing with Crazy Tony. She's placed a "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" ban on the family friend -- real name Tony Lindsey --and says he is no longer allowed on the TLC show. TMZ reports that the decision was made after Lindsey was arrested in November for taking part in a prank that involved a man in a gorilla suit scaring people on the side of a freeway. Mama June -- real name June Shannon -- says she doesn't feel comfortable having him on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" anymore. "We love him as a friend ... but that was a crazy story," she tells TMZ. "Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it family oriented." Shannon also clarifies that Lindsey is not her real cousin, saying,"Crazy Tony's just a family friend ... who is just crazy." For his part, Lindsey is reportedly "super bummed out" by the news, and...

Honey Boo Boo's Thanksgiving Dinner: Mama June Served a Turkey Covered in a Gallon of Butter!

Turkey is known as a very lean meat — unless you eat it the way Honey Boo Boo's family does.

'Honey Boo Boo': Mama June Quizzes Family On Thanksgiving

It was Thanksgiving time on the latest " Here Comes Honey Boo Boo " special. In honor of the holiday, Mama June decided to test the family on their knowledge of the Thanksgiving traditions and the history that gave birth to the holiday. It turned out to be a tough challenge for the entire household. "Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1942. Ain’t that Thanksgiving?" Jessica asked. "Jessica, did you say 1942?" June asked. "That’s like Pearl Harbor." Well, Mama June was close on that one, missing it by less than a month -- the attack on Pearl Harbor happened on December 7, 1941. When the talk got to pilgrims, Anna declared, "Pilgrims are Amish people." But June wasn't so sure. Anna's guess put Columbus' voyage in the 1930s, so she wasn't going to clarify anything for the family either. Maybe they can explain Christmas to their fans next month. "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" comes back with a clips special on February 10, followed by their Christmas special on February 17, both at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
