Australian actress Melissa George stars as Samantha, an espionage operative for "Byzantium", a private intelligence agency. After an attempt on her life she realises that it probably had been orchestrated by members of her own squad. After recovering and back in active duty, she goes back to work undercover as a nanny, not knowing who tried to kill her or who to trust. It becomes evident that the attempt on her life is tied into a horrific event from her childhood.
