Cyrus Frakes, renowned beauty pageant coach, gets a visit from former client Caitlin Upton, who became a nationwide laughingstock after giving an embarrassing answer at the Miss Teen USA pageant two years ago. Cy tries to convince Caitlin to redeem herself and him by entering her first pageant since the incident. Meanwhile another client, Kaleigh Hill, is battling weight issues and her overbearing "momager" as she struggles to slim down and fit into her pageant gown. The two young women's stories intersect when they find out that they will be battling one another at The Carolina Queen pageant. Cy and his team have to pull out all the stops to help Caitlin overcome her fear of public speaking and Kaleigh shape up in time to compete. It's a pageant showdown filled with tears as both girls fight to take home the crown.
