"Longmire," A&E's cop drama set in the rolling hills of Wyoming, returns for its second season Monday (May 27). Star Katee Sackhoff, who plays Sheriff Walt Longmire's deputy Victoria "Vic" Moretti, tells Zap2it that the viewers won't have to wait too long for their questions to be answered. "[Season 2] picked up pretty much right where Season 1 left off. All those questions from last year, most of them will get answered," says Sackhoff. "[Longmire's wife's murder] is a major plotline, the debate is a major plotline. I don't know necessarily if it'll all come to a head and we'll figure it out, but there will definitely be some payoff."Part of the investigation into Longmire's wife's murderer being found in a shallow grave means the return of Charles S. Dutton as the detective on the case. "I don't have many scenes with him," says Sackhoff, "But he's pretty amazing."In addition to that mystery continuing in... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/longmires-katee-sackhoff-on-season-2-vic-and-walt-would-actually-be-really-good-together.html

If Sheriff Walt Longmire suddenly turns into a chatterbox, Robert Taylor will be the first to worry. The Australian actor is quite comfortable embodying novelist Craig Johnson's Wyoming lawman of few words as the title character in "Longmire," the Monday A&E mystery series that begins its second season Monday (May 27)."It was very exciting to get the pickup," Taylor tells Zap2it. "You never know, but it's great. I've done series before, and most of them never make it to a second season. And we hope we'll be here for quite a bit."That's entirely possible, since "Longmire" launched last summer as A&E's top-rated original series premiere up to that time. (It's been topped since by "Bates Motel.")"I felt it was a little different," Taylor says of his modern Western, "more distilled and languid and not as frenetic as some other shows. You always hope that you'll connect with people and that they'll stick with it, so we... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/longmire-season-2-robert-taylor-returns-as-old-school-sheriff.html

NEW YORK — You may not recognize Robert Taylor as anyone other than the title character he plays on the crime drama "Longmire." But he's no newcomer. "I've been working pretty solidly for a long time," says Taylor, with a wry throwaway: "Not that anyone would notice, you know what I mean?" But not that he appears to be complaining. "It's been my goal to work as much as possible, and be as unknown as possible," he insists. Robert Taylor knows what's in a name. The Australian actor -- who begins his second season playing a highly traditional American character when he returns as the title Wyoming sheriff in "Longmire" Monday, May 27, on A&E -- shares the name of a performer who was a popular member of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's stable of stars from the 1930s through the 1950s."There haven't been any complications from that at all," the "Longmire" Taylor tells Zap2it, "but when I was a kid, people used to mention it to me all the time. Not as many people have heard of him these days. You ask kids who are 20 who he is, and their eyes glaze over. They never heard of him ... but they probably couldn't tell you who the President of the United States is, either."Films such as "Waterloo Bridge,""Ivanhoe" and "A Yank at Oxford" have kept the earlier Taylor, who died in 1969 (and was the second... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/longmire-season-2-robert-taylor-salutes-big-star-whose-name-he-shares.html
