Heather Dubrow on Gretchen's Malibu Country Part: She Wasn't Offered a Role

We were thrilled to hear Heather Dubrow was offered another acting role on the sitcom Malibu Country. But the good news was not completely free of drama. In Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8, Episode 13, Tamra Barney mentioned Gretchen Rossi claimed to have been offered a role on the same sitcom. But Heather said she asked the casting director, who said Gretchen wasn’t offered any kind of role on the show. Heather explained in her Bravo blog she wasn’t trying to badmouth Gretchen in... http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/peyVSlUXR9c/2013-07-02-heather-dubrow-gretchen-rossi-malibu-country

Watch Heather Dubrow Guest Star on Malibu Country

In Real Housewives of Orange County Season 3, Episode 13, we learn that Heather Dubrow has landed a role on Malibu Country, Reba McEntire's ABC sitcom. While Heather is very excited, the news is marred a bit because she also hears her castmate Gretchen Rossi was up for the part. Regardless, Heather secured her slot and appeared on the show. You can see her as a event coordinator Booke, who rubs Reba and her mother, played by Lily Tomlin, the wrong way. http://feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/B3foHa_XvFI/2013-07-01-watch-heather-dubrow-guest-star

TV ratings: 'Last Man Standing' and 'Malibu Country' finales see ratings rise

Fast National ratings for Friday, March 22, 2013It takes more than a little March Madness to take on Jonathan Taylor Thomas and ABC's sitcom finales: "Last Man Standing" and "Malibu Country" ended their second and first seasons, respectively, at the top of the Friday-night ratings. Both shows showed growth from previous weeks as well.CBS continued with its NCAA basketball tournament coverage, while NBC saw ratings stay even for new episodes of "Fashion Star" and "Grimm." Things were not so rosy over at FOX and The CW, where a "Kitchen Nightmares" rerun led into a down "Touch," and a repeat of CW's Justin Timberlake special led in to another low-rated entry for "Cult."ABC led the night overall with 6.5 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/7 share in households, easily beating NBC (3.9 million, 2.6/5) for the top spot. CBS (3.6 million, 2.3/4) was not far behind in third. FOX drew 2.8 million viewers and a... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/tv-ratings-last-man-standing-and-malibu-country-finales-see-ratings-rise.html

'Malibu Country's' Lily Tomlin: 'I never got a part from an audition'

People may have initially written off ABC's "Malibu Country" as a predictable sitcom starring Reba McEntire. But consider its not-so-secret weapon: Lily Tomlin.Since she shot to popularity on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" in 1970 -- as Ernestine, the telephone operator, counting off "one ringy-dingy" as calls went through, and Edith Ann, the terminally congested 5-year-old who gave a Bronx cheer and told the truth -- Tomlin has consistently chosen winning projects. In between films, TV and Broadway, Tomlin has managed to stay very down to earth. She was out long before Ellen DeGeneres but had not made any announcements. At a crowded ABC party, where people posed, clinked glasses and got a little loud, Tomlin sat quietly on a couch in an outer tent. She was happy to talk about this role, playing Reba's mom."I named the character after my mother," Tomlin tells Zap2it of Lillie Mae. "I liked playing an older woman."Though the character has gray... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/malibu-countrys-lily-tomlin-i-never-got-a-part-from-an-audition.html

TV ratings: 'Blue Bloods' wins viewers, demo, 'Nikita' rising, 'Touch' craters

CBS stalwart "Blue Bloods" was the highlight of a quiet night on the networks that saw FOX's "Touch" and ABC's "Malibu Country" post their lowest ratings to date, NBC's "Grimm" lose some ground from a solid premiere last week and the CW's "Nikita" continue to improve. It's looking like the end of the road for "Touch" in particular, as the Kiefer Sutherland second year series hit new lows of 2.39 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in 18-49 -- that's despite facing rerun competition on both ABC and CBS. Also in the timeslot, "Grimm" slipped slightly from last week's return after a long hiatus to a 1.4 in 18-49 and 4.88 million viewers, both representing season lows. The CW's "Cult" was actually up a bit in the same timeslot -- to a still dismal 847,000 viewers -- but that may have been boosted by "Nikita's" performance as its lead-in. This week's 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 1.45... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/03/tv-ratings-blue-bloods-wins-viewers-and-demo-nikita-on-the-rise.html
