After a brief hiatus, Fox's "New Girl" returns tonight with an episode that star Jake Johnson (otherwise known as curmudgeonly bartender Nick Miller) says might be the funniest yet. And how could it not be with each character spilling the story of how they lost their virginity (with accompanying flashbacks)? When Jake stopped by the MTV News studios recently, we just had to engage in some fact-finding pillow talk. Metaphorically, of course. This isn't that kind of workplace. Read More... "The 'Virgins' episode was written by our creator, Liz Meriwether. I think it's potentially our funniest script that we've done," Jake said. "It's everybody in the loft, as well as CeCe, how they lost their virginity. So Nick's story goes back to high school, where he and Winston grew up together. And their dad, the great Dennis Farina—getting him back was awesome. I think he's the best. He takes them to a hotel and gets them prostitutes... As only he could get away with being charming while getting under-age boys prostitutes." Now if, like me, you were wondering whether any of these deflowering tales are based on real-life experiences, Jake ensured they most certainly are not. "No, a lot of ours aren't," he said of the series' storylines. "We have such great writers. They have a really firm understanding of these characters, and we just show up at the table read." So, just to be clear: Jake did not lose it to a prostitute. We think. As for the will-they-won't-they relationship between Jake's Nick and titular girl Jess (played by Zooey Deschanel), the actor said he's been buoyed by the response their flirtation has gotten from viewers. And he counts himself among fans rooting for the couple. "I know it's been unbelievable the people's reaction to it, which has been really exciting," he said. "I know at least as an actor and a fan of the show, I've been wanting it to happen. I don't know if I necessarily want them to be together and get married and have kids, but I like exploring that relationship. The writers have a great understanding of it—that I'll come in and read these scripts and every move they make people seem to like, so it tells me they're doing a really nice job." "New Girl" airs tonight at 9 p.m. on Fox. Are you excited to see how the gang lost it? Do you hope Nick and Jess get it on? We may have seen a lot of their recent sexual conquests, but that doesn't mean we know anything about how that all began for the characters on "New Girl."Thanks to "Virgins," however, we will. Oh will we ever! All of this helpful "first time" information starts because Jess (Zooey Deschanel) gets a text from the guy who, to use Jess' words, took her flower. This prompts all of the roommates -- plus Cece -- to share how each lost his or her virginity. While we won't be giving away any specifics here, you should know that sex, drugs, rock-and-roll and even death figure into the stories. Really. See if you can figure out how from these five "New Girl" spoilers:1. It shouldn't be much of a surprise that Fat Schmidt (Max Greenfield) didn't have much game back in the day. He did, however, have a lot of lubricant and pickup lines involving cookies.2. The wedding of Cece and Shivrang is fast approaching on "New Girl," which means of course it's time for Jess to throw her best friend a bachelorette party. So she does. Naturally, it does not go according to plan.I could recap this episode in great detail. But there is nothing that I could write that would be better than what "New Girl" already said. Instead, you're going to get a summary and a whole bunch of quotes from "Bachelorette Party."What happenedIt turns out that Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang's (Satya Bhabha) wedding is only three weeks away, so Jess (Zooey Deschanel) plans a bachelorette party for her best friend. This is a) because Cece has wanted a crazy party since childhood and b) because Cece has not yet asked Jess to be her maid of honor. In order to pull this off, the guys have to kidnap Shivrang and spirit him away for the night.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/new-girl-a-night-of-fighting-photography-and-self-discovery-in-bachelorette-party.html

Hey shippers! Here is the "New Girl" episode you've been waiting for -- Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) are finally going out for an evening together. But of course there are obstacles in the way of the pair's "First Date."The episode begins in a perfectly normal fashion, with Winston (Lamorne Morris) trying to find a phone charger.Naturally, this brings up issues of attraction and dating for Jess and Nick.Does going on a date with Jess require a hat fitting? That may indeed be the case when Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is involved.Nick cleans up nice...You know who doesn't clean up so nicely? That would be Outside Dave (guest star Steve Agee), who is strangely inside. Is it really necessary for Jess and Nick to take notes during their date?Even if the date was going well (notes or no notes), there is a bit of a wrinkle when Jess' ex Russell (Dermot Mulroney) appears.Russell seems... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/04/new-girl-photos-russell-interrupts-when-nick-and-jess-go-on-their-first-date.html
