A 'Parks and Recreation' wedding? Maybe. And Leslie is no 'bridezilla'

"Parks and Recreation" just saw Ben (Adam Scott) propose to Leslie (Amy Poehler) in what is hopefully about to become their new home together. But is a Pawnee wedding celebration in the future?"I would like to believe that the path that we're choosing to take will be satisfying but also surprising to people," creator Michael Schur offers up cryptically."You know that no matter what, Leslie will involve and include everybody in all her plans all the time," chimes in Poehler. "This will be everyone's engagement ... the balance of their professional and their personal life is a lot of what's coming up."But were there to be a wedding, don't count on Leslie to be a "bridezilla," which is a term Schur doesn't like to use anyway."I think 'bridezilla' ... is misogynistic. It's like every time two women are up for an award, it gets described as a catfight. When two men are up for an...

Amy Poehler and Adam Scott talk 'Parks and Recreation' engagement: 'Joyous' occasion

"Parks and Recreation" laid a big surprise on the viewers in "Halloween Surprise" and no, it wasn't Jerry's fart attack -- though that was one of the components designed to throw viewers off, says creator Michael Schur. No, the surprise was that Ben returns from Washington D.C. and proposes to Leslie, which stars Amy Poehler and Adam Scott say it was a joy to film. "When I read that scene, I cried because I was so happy that I had my job at 'Parks' and that I got to do that scene with Adam," says Poehler. "It's very rare as an actor when you read a scene and you know it's going to be great.""I was really happy for Leslie," she continues. "The mood on set was really kind of a joyous one ... we were excited this was happening for them.""I felt the same way," Scott echoes. "This was a really big deal for...

'Parks and Recreation': Ben and Leslie's life-changing decision

There was quite the drama on "Parks and Recreation" Thursday night (Oct. 25). Don't keep reading if you haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Ben and Leslie are engaged! In a masterful episode, the show had Ben and Jen celebrating their win for the congressman in Washington D.C. and then jet-setting off to Florida, where a potential gubernatorial candidate was waiting for them to run his campaign. It was a great fake-out, because Ben was clearly in his element talking to the potential candidate and Jen's pep talk about how good he is as a campaign manager was one of the only genuine moments we've seen from her as a character. It really felt like he was going to break Leslie's heart and take the job. But no! He surprised her with an engagement ring in their new house, in a lovely TV engagement that was still very distinctly "Parks and Rec." Bravo,...
