First Look at 'Fringe' Season 2 - Featured

"Fringe" is going fast pace for the second season. After being picked up early by Fox, the sci-fi series has released the first look into its new season that will air this fall. The preview which was played in the end of the first season finale, emphasized that "What was before is only the beginning. What is to come is beyond imagination."

Creator J.J. Abrams has more to offer about the implicit message. In a conference call on Friday, May 8, he said "Season 2 is getting to know the enemy, but season one is getting to know that there is an enemy, and getting to know each other." Abrams mentioned that the May 12 episode that features also Leonard Nimoy as William Bell, "is a massive turning point in the long-term arc of the series."

Abrams elaborated further on what they had reserved for season 2, saying "Without going into any details about it, it has a kind of fun, fresh way in next year that I think is ... you never know how it's going to work."

"You just cross your fingers and pray people like it, but I feel like it's one of those next-season beginnings that feel thrilling to me in a way that's more than just 'Oh, I can't wait for them to come back.' It's 'I can't wait for them to experience what we're doing and for them to come back this way.'"

No date for season 2 has been set but shooting will start soon in its new location, Vancouver. Leonard Nimoy is also confirmed to be back for more in the new season.
